It's funny. I was kind of torn between Rivera and McCarthy. Rivera had taken a team to the Super Bowl and would improve our defense while our offense already was considered a strength. McCarthy had won a Super Bowl and taken his team to several NFCCGs, but he also did it with a future Hall-of-Famer at quarterback. After all those wasted years with Garrett, I wanted Dallas to try someone who had proven they could reach a Super Bowl, but I wasn't sure which one. Right now, it's looking like McCarthy was the better choice, but I do acknowledge that he inherited a much better situation at quarterback than Rivera did.
