Troy has always been a Cowboy at heart and only the ignorant fans would think otherwise just because he's an objective announcer.

Does anyone remember how Aikman felt about the Cowboys during that 12-1 start in the 2007 season? How did it compare to now?

This is an honest question; I don't recall.

He was still on the I don't want to make it look like I'm pro-Dallas so I will argue everything against them even if the refs blew a terrible call mode.

Sorry folks, Troy is still dead to me.

Everyone should really listen to him when he goes on radio shows around the DFW area. Just absolute great insight and he still likes seeing the Cowboys do well.

It didn't get to be on the #1 FOX crew by being a homer, he did it by being a professional which is what he is. And if people have a problem with that they should get off their high horse.

Very true.

Specifically, a call that is very questionable he will side against cowboys when he really should say, "yeah, I thought that hit on Romo WAS LATE"..

Instead he says the opposite

bingo...him calling that hit on romo not late is a prime example. There were 49er and colts and many other team fans saying "man that was late...cant believe there wasnt a flag"

but old anti-bias aikman "that was a good, clean hit"

i actually think i muttered at the tv "will you shut up, troy"

I see you've been into the cat nip again.

Yeah, but it's coming down off of that stuff that bothers me, because I know it's going to happen. I spent the entire Seattle game expecting a disaster to happen, and thought it had when Romo got popped. I'll be the same way for the rest of the games. I'm convinced the football gods hate us and are just setting us up for a big heartbreak again. Something bad is gonna happen. I just know it.

Cowboys fans say he tries hard not to be biased and goes overboard. I tend to agree.

Funny thing is, other teams' fans think he is a complete homer when calling our games.

In the past I usually cannot stand him being the announcer of Cowboy games. He would gush over the other teams players and never say much about the Cowboys. Not that he was wrong. But he just didn't sound authentic and honest and seems to try too hard to be impartial to make himself look professional.

Not this past Sunday. Troy seemed to be gushing with giddiness over this new Cowboys team. He sounded authentic and real and finally showed that he's a true Cowboy at heart. I think he feels good about this team and their chances to make it deep into the playoffs. He didn't hold anything back when he referred to the Cowboys performance as a "domination." If we didn't mess up on special teams this game wouldn't even be close he said. I think it surprised the network and they had to follow what Troy was saying and everyone had to agree with him.

Best part was when Romo and TWill converted on that 3rd and 20 play. He simple stated " Seattle's defense doesn't just let teams convert 3rd and 20 just like that."

I think Troy being giddy about this team says a lot.

You get a like for the hilarious LOTR Sig pic. I'm a Tolkien Geek, so yeah...Like it.

Sure bad things will happen. It's a long season. We'll have injuries and lose some games along the way. But we're a good team and these guys have already proven they can handle adversity.

Troy would always say how much he loved Clinton Portis and that he was his favorite player whenever we played the Commanders. Michael Irvin was so hyped up on NFL Gameday Final Sunday night I still haven't deleted from my DVR yet because it was so funny. I know he's gonna have fun with Marshall on gameday morning this week.

I can't hear him without thinking about his massive overreaction to the Randy Moss pantomimed mooning of the stupid cheese-headed GB fans who moon and pelt the Vikings busses with snowballs after every home game. Does everybody remember that, or is it just me?

It's not just you. That was my induction into "this is how much of a ****** bag Joe Buck is". I was thinking the same thing you posted as soon as Joe Buck's name was brought into the conversation. I knew from that night on that I would never be able to stand that Cowboy hating drama queen.

I think he's like most realist Cowboy fans they're behind the team but they're not blind to their problems. Show them some substance it'll give them something to be excited about. Another thing, kind of goes to something Darren Woodson said some time back (and I think some of us have noticed him being on the upper end of critical too) he said during his last years playing guys would come up to him and wonder why he was in a bad mood all the time and it was just because he knew the team didn't have it. Watching the Cowboys for Troy possibly was frustrating and made him kind of salty lol I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys have a successful year guys like Troy and Moose Johnston, and Darren Woodson start sounding like Michael Irvin when they're speaking about the team (ok maybe not that much).

Troy and Darren can spot a "Pretender" a mile away. I think they see a "contender" here and they are truly excited about it.
