Accidentally pasted the link in the title, apologies for that. They can change it, if desired to "
"Vincent: Colts' tip started Deflategate"

So basically, it's been confirmed that the Colts tipped off the NFL officials as the original reports confirmed regarding the deflated balls. So he got a call that the balls were deflated and reported it to GM officials.

Right after the SB, on cue...

"Deflation Experiments Show Patriots May Have a Point After All"

lol

just stirring the pot

This has actually been discussed on this forum. Calculations for example assume submerged balls, when balls are wiped. They also use absolute atmospheric pressure measured in a certain way, while not barometric pressure.

Michael Valentino breaks it down here and other places:

Lets Ponder the Patriots Deflationgate Issue

The NFL shares a big portion of the blame for this. Their system failed.

I saw the interview with Vincent on TV this morning and thought he looked and sounded like a complete idiot.

Must be following his boss' lead.

So basically the game was stopped as confirmed to check for deflated balls, despite all the alleged back-tracking when it happened. And Pagano was basically given the NFL official answer when he said "Did not notice?"

And I'm still chuckling about the question posed by the reporters when they asked Brady if he knew, and he said only Monday.

“When I came in Monday morning, I was shocked to learn of the reports about the footballs,” Belichick said. “I had no knowledge of the various steps involved in the game balls and the process it went through and what happened. So I learned a lot about that.”

And the reporter than asked, but their was a delay and you had no idea what it was about. And he stuttered like an idiot.

It also probably confirms the whole idea that the Patriots have been using deflated balls prior and it's been an issue for awhile for the Colts to draw attention to it.

BTW, just to put this idea to rest that Bellicheck isn't a bold-faced liar. The year prio, 2006, to when Spy-gate broke out, this was already reported:

http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2006/12/stealing_signs_.html

“What the Miami Dolphins do is this – they have a coach who studies the game tapes, the television tapes, to pick up the signals from the opposing quarterback,” he said. “In fact, you can go out and buy something called network iso-tapes that people at home don’t see, to get additional audio.

“There is nothing illegal about what Miami did. However, the Patriots got caught doing something early in the year they weren’t supposed to be doing. They had a man on their sideline dressed in coaching attire with a video camera who was presumably videotaping the other team’s signals. You can’t do that. They were warned. If it happens again, they’re going to be disciplined.”

It is a straight lie when Bellichek in 2008 stated he 'misinterpreted' the rules, because they were already caught prior and were warned about it. Then we have this little nugget. One can only imagine what techniques the Patriots were employing after the all these incidents happened years before Spy-gate.

Casserly also shared some insight on other techniques employed by NFL teams.

“When I was on the competition committee a couple years ago, we discovered a team that was putting a microphone on a defensive lineman, the nose tackle, to get the signals from the quarterback, matched it to the game tape, and they had the audibles the next time they played them. Another one that goes on, this is what they call a parabolic mic. This picks up sound from the quarterback. What some teams do is have an extra one at the game, get the sound from the quarterback, match that to the game tape, and they’ve got the audibles next time they play them. Miami wasn’t doing anything compared to other teams.”

I read somewhere that there may not even be record of what the halftime measurements were.

So......basically nothing will ever be settled on this issue.

The Patriots won fair and square. Get over it and move on to 2015.

Sure they did... Wasn't Deflate Gate suppose to be resolved after the SB anyways? Should we just get over it and sweep it under the rug?

It should get as much attention as the Falcons-noise situation, the Jets-tampering with a player on another team and the Vikings-tampering with footballs on the sidelines has gotten. In other words, an article or two and then we move on with our lives.

You love to self righteously, sanctimoniously pontificate about fairness, competitive balance and integrity of the game.... but if you were to ever once be honest (which no one here is expecting), you would have to admit that holding one franchise to a standard of conduct ridiculously above and beyond the standard held to the 31 other franchises is not something that helps fairness, competitive balance and integrity of the game.

The Vikings got caught red-handed illegally tampering with footballs to make them easier to grip and handle and they got a letter of warning. The Patriots were accused of illegally tampering with footballs to make them easier to grip and handle and they've gotten a 2-month investigation, national headlines, and a major distraction to deal with during the lead in to the most important game of the season.

Oh and wait a second... when told the Patriots won the game, you know, by 38 points, didn't you haters lecture us all on the notion that it doesn't matter whether or not it helped them win? So why the hypocritical emphasis on one team while ignoring all the others?

classic example of the Lance Armstrong syndrome...

They didn't do it, denying that they could possibly cheat.

Ok, well everybody else cheats so it's justified. Why were you so defensive in the first place that they couldn't cheat then?

How you like them astericks next to Brady?

I wonder if the Cowboys were accused of this deflating footballs if some of you guys would go on a Pats board & defend them day after day, post after post?

What happened?

I heard it on the radio so I am not sure I heard the whole thing.

He was somewhere & had a car accident. He was driving but got out of the car & took off. His girl slide over to the driver's seat & told the police she was driving.

I think it was found out Lance was driving. Maybe an eye witness reported him. I think he had been drinking & he hit parked cars.
