Troy Vincent is the player representative to the union and he said in an interview with Dukes today that all indications are that Johnson has completed all the league has asked him to do during his suspension and looks to have it shortened to 6 weeks.

Now the NFL Union seems like bumbling fools overall so take it what its worth but it would bear to reason that he would know inside information on the matter.

Don't believe it until it happens. I'd be more inclined to think Commish at best shortens it by 1 game.

I don't see why it shouldn't happen. If there was a stipulation in the sentencing that said Johnson could have the punishment lifted after 6 games and he has done all that was asked of him, then I say let him come back. Furthermore, Goodell could use this as a good PR opportunity to show that he isn't the heavy-handed dictator everyone thinks he is.

Could just be spin by an union official but Vincent, speaking as a union official and not just a player in the league makes it sound as if the union would be sort of obligated to appeal on Tank's behalf if it isnt reduced due to the fact that supposedly he has fulfilled all of the league's mandates through his suspension.

Don't anybody get their hopes up. Goodell would look like a compassionate fool if he were to reduce the suspension. Can't have that.

Goodell shouldnt have offered to reduce the suspension if he complied. If he did comply then I dont see how they have any choice but to reduce it to 6 games.

He is a Dallas Cowboy. Goodell is more likely going to extend it 1 more game! :laugh2:
