Truth #1 - Whether you like or hate Wade, JG, Jerry Jones, or anyone else you want to mention, we are who we are the rest of this season.... it ain't changing.

Truth #2 - All fans, then, might as well hope for the very best we could have this season with the current cast of characters.

Truth #3 - Romo went out in a big game today and played like it was a big game. That should encourage all of us. HE didn't choke this one up. He didn't seem overwhelmed by the situation like he has in a few big games in the past. I was very proud of the way he played.

Truth #4 - Roy Williams played a good game today. If you were hoping to get more out of Roy, you had to be encouraged by the way he played.

Truth #5 - We are still tied for the division lead heading into a home ball game. That is not a bad position to be in, that is a great position to be in after 12 games.

Truth #6 - We will discover THIS NEXT WEEKEND whether we make the playoffs this year or not. Plain and simple, if we lose this game against the Chargers and then have to go to New Orleans, its over. (In my opinion)

Truth #7 - This team will have to gut it up on the strength of its players. The Coach is what he is. Some coaches add a bit to their team, some take away a bit from their team, some are just about neutral, and I feel Wade is in the third category. Forget Wade, the players have to stand up THIS WEEKEND, AND WIN A MUST WIN GAME. It is doable. I hope they do it.

I'm sure there are other "truths" I haven't mentioned, and you might disagree with some of mine, either way, I'd like to hear yours.

I agree with this post. Win vs San Diego and we're where we need to be. Lose, and it will be one heck of an uphill battle.

I actually thought today was the most winnable game out of the them all. I definetly agree with truth #6.

Truth - Demarcus Ware MUST step up these last four games. He cannot disappear in games, he has to IMPACT games.

Truth - Until we try to make plays down the field, safeties will have 7 tackles at the line of scrimmage in the first half alone (see Aaron Rouse).

Truth - Any scheme that isolates Carp on Steve Smith in the slot reflects we were out-coached.

Worst "truth" of the day is that a lot of folks thought the defense was finally in a position to step up in December.

They failed miserably against a team completely on the ropes.

And next up is Rivers and Brees.

If we lose this week and depending on the outcome of the Giants and Eagles, we HAVE to win 2 out of the remaining 3 to make the playoffs...according to that playoff scenario on Yahoo.

I'm going to mess with it more switching who wins between the Eagles/Giants.

Yeah if we lose this week our season is over.

It sucks that we were 8-3 just this week and now 8-4 and now we may not even make the playoffs.

Truth # ad infinitum - jerks like me always overreact to devastating losses that could have been avoided - there is no way to shine the Jerry Wade Jason horse apple. But it will be attempted tomorrow morning without fail.

Three good points.

Excellent post. I do agree with it, although I'm not as optomistic about beating the Chargers as you seem to be.

Yep. This week is a must win or it's all over.
