Trying to be optimistic if Dallas wins 2 of last 3 they finish 8-8-1 . MM left town 7-10 . You might call a .500 record something to work with next season . The defense to me is root of at least 75 % of the problems . You split with Philly this division is not far off .

The mission obviously is an upgrade of talent on D ( use both # 1’s ) and for goodness sakes get a new defensive staff the entire D staff going into Oxnard next July . Winning 2 of 3 is not a tall order . I refuse to jump off the ledge have to look for some positives . I know others want to to take a match to the whole thing .

Which would track since I met JG in Canton lol. I should have known we were going 8-8-1 lol.

The next 3 games won't change anything in terms of knowing what this team has and what it needs. It's painfully obvious at this point what ails the team, so the only positive that can come is experience for the young guys, and the hopes the likes of Revel and Overshown finish the year physically/mentally healthy.

Regardless of the win/loss record the good news is that the defense can only get better.

The bad news no one wants to talk about is that the offense has some issues where we should expect some regression or commit significant resources to retain the talent level on that side of the football. Pickens & Williams will both command significant contracts and the OL needs help as well.

There are certainly some positives to take away but we need an honest assessment of this team and while a defense heavy approach sounds good for this offseason we could very easily find ourselves with a lesser offense if we aren’t careful.

What would be more optimistic would be us losing out and getting a better draft pick.

Winning 2 of 3 to finish 8-8-1 as some bizarre comparison to 7-10 last year is silly to me because there is zero gained by that improvement in record. What would be a "gain" for us would be getting the best draft position possible.

And the circus begins again!

Look, I know it's nice to be optimistic but I think several of you on this board keep missing the point year after year after 30 years. There are systematic problems from the top down that continue to derail this team and until it's fixed from the top down we will not see a championship game let alone a super bowl.

Every year it's a lot of hope, cheer, distraction, salesmanship, and that blue big blue star. It seems to work as half of this board buys in every single year all the way up to being six and six and one and still thinking there's hope.

I hope teams roll through and hang major points on Dallas for the rest of the season. The more embarrassing it gets, the harder it’ll be to justify keeping Eberflus. Let him go work somewhere else.......like for the NY Giants.

This! I don't care if we win or lose. I just want it to look like earlier in the year where it was 40-37 lol

And it's not apples to apples anyway, because Dak was out so much of last year.

Winning only one more game this year with your starting franchise QB playing every game is pretty pitiful.

I wanted to see growth and I don’t think we did

They beat the eagles and won their superbowl

The lions should have gotten our best shot and they didn’t . That wasn’t treated like the kitchen sink game it was.

Detroit Greenbay Sam fran Philly all these teams keep clowning you and you let it happen and just blame the cap

well, given Commanders just sat Daniels going with Mariota and their crappy defense, it looks like we beat giants and commanders and probably lose to chargers and end up 8-8-1 and lose a few draft spots. I don't think cowboys will roll with milton, but diggs won't play. QW is supposedly injured and not sure if Nate Thomas will return. perhaps time to give blue some touches and really see what we have to do at RB in the off season.
