Trying to be optimistic if Dallas wins 2 of last 3 they finish 8-8-1

Call up Mafah, get him some reps. Nothing to lose now. Put Blue in there. I'd actually not give Williams as heavy a workload as usual.
"I'm feeling Phil..." - BS in training camp

Kinda damning that we REALLY needed RBs and the 2 we drafted...couldn't even see the field. Really bad considering RB is the easiest transition to the NFL...no assembly required.

Trying to be optimistic if Dallas wins 2 of last 3 they finish 8-8-1 . MM left town 7-10 . You might call a .500 record something to work with next season . The defense to me is root of at least 75 % of the problems . You split with Philly this division is not far off .

The mission obviously is an upgrade of talent on D ( use both # 1’s ) and for goodness sakes get a new defensive staff the entire D staff going into Oxnard next July . Winning 2 of 3 is not a tall order . I refuse to jump off the ledge have to look for some positives . I know others want to to take a match to the whole thing .
I know it was a long time ago, but we used to win championships. How far this fanbase has fallen if we are hoping for .500 ball.

I know it’s better to have a better draft slot, but I cannot watch a Cowboys football game and not want them to play well and win. Any hope of the playoffs is gone, but if you are a fan who actually watches the game and wants the Cowboys to lose every game and thinks it’s stupid to even try, please refrain from posting and telling the rest of us how stupid we are and how dumb the team is. We all understand how the draft slotting works. Some of us simply put pride and love of the game above draft position.

Tanking makes no sense to me unless you want the first or second pick of the draft for a QB. There are plenty of good defensive players throughout the draft. I want the best draft pick, but I just cannot hope and root for a loss. Maybe this is a win-win time as a Cowboys fan. I’m happy if the team and individuals play better and win games, but after another loss, I can console myself with the improved draft position.
To be honest about it, I don't ever want them to lose , but at some point I have to recognize that there may be benefit in improving the draft spacing... So I want a win, but in the back of my mind I am ok if they lose after we are eliminated.

Well, I guess beating a Mariota led Commanders squad and a Jaxson Dart Giants team would be something...

I mean, right?
The most important things we could do is improve our draft pick & make it obvious Eberflus must go.

Not hoping for .500 ball at all looking at record games left and schedule . I don’t root for Cowboys to lose games for mythical better draft picks like Mazi Smith Sam Williams Kelvin Joseph and the bunch .

McCarthy was 11-1 vs the division in those famous “twelve win” seasons. Garrett got to his typical 8-8 the same way.
The math aint mathin here. There are only six division games per season. Mike actually won a lot of non-division games during his tenure unlike Garrett.

MM would routinely go 5-1 in division then accomplished 2 losing seasons out of 5 as well as picking off low hanging fruit non division . I don’t recall many “ big wins “ in 5 yrs .

Im fir what gets Flus fired and i suspect that needs us to lose at least 2 more games
He should have already been fired.

It's a miracle he's still here.

At the very least, his scheme cost us a potential playoff spot. I mean, more than likely. We had some close games that even a decent defense could have overcome.

There's no choice here. You have to fire him. Or you're the gullible dummy.

Play Milton, Blue, Hoffman, more of Pickens, all the backup WRs, O-Tackles & TEs, etc.
I would be okay with this after the Chargers game. But with them still in the playoff race and with seedings at stake, I think you have to play your regulars this week. JMO.

they probably win out and flus may save his job but I think its better to move on from him, cause it will be why you didn't do this from the lions game?

Numb. Callous. Indifferent.

Surprised, not surprised.

I’m just used to it.

That sad thing is to watch the cult believe. Or maybe they’re Jerry’s Bots.

Win vs an Eagle team that has taken a step back. And a Chief team that as of last Sunday has been eliminated from the playoffs.

The Arizona game should have been the warning. Getting upset is one thing, getting rolled by a 3 win team is another.

Ron you must hate baseball because teams forever have thrown in the towel at the trade deadline in hopes of building for the future. And fans for the most part agree when a team decides to be sellers.

What would be more optimistic would be us losing out and getting a better draft pick.

Winning 2 of 3 to finish 8-8-1 as some bizarre comparison to 7-10 last year is silly to me because there is zero gained by that improvement in record. What would be a "gain" for us would be getting the best draft position possible.
For some reason Jerry values having a higher win loss record instead of playing younger players for getting experience. Other teams do it but Jerry thinks having a better record is more important that a higher draft pick.

The same fans thinking that achieving a few more wins to salvage a lost season is great, will be the same fans complaining next April's draft on why we didn't move up to get Caleb Downs, Sonny Styles, Jeremiah Love, or a stud OT or DE, taken just a few spots before us.

Yep my fault. I recalled that 11-1 number, but it didn’t include Philadelphia.

They were 6-0, 4-2 and 5-1 overall vs the division in those three fantastic 12 win seasons which made Jerry and son publicly announce that they are “close.”

Now, this year you’ll see them go 5-1 in the division and 3-7-1 otherwise.

Maybe for fun we can look at what percentage of Garrett and Campos wins were against division teams. I know that out of Campos 15 total wins, five were against Washington.

I’ve never heard of baseball teams throwing in the towel at the trade deadline ? Don’t even know how that’s advantageous?
