Trying to be optimistic if Dallas wins 2 of last 3 they finish 8-8-1

Of course. However, winning a meaningless game or two at the end of the season does not stop that.

And playing Joe Milton is tanking.

No if you’re eliminated why play 60 million in what you call “ meaningless “ games . Let’s see Milton play in NFL speed in a game that counts in the standings if Dallas is eliminated.

So you are for tanking. OK.

Trying to be optimistic if Dallas wins 2 of last 3 they finish 8-8-1 . MM left town 7-10 . You might call a .500 record something to work with next season . The defense to me is root of at least 75 % of the problems . You split with Philly this division is not far off .

The mission obviously is an upgrade of talent on D ( use both # 1’s ) and for goodness sakes get a new defensive staff the entire D staff going into Oxnard next July . Winning 2 of 3 is not a tall order . I refuse to jump off the ledge have to look for some positives . I know others want to to take a match to the whole thing .
Losing all 3 would mean Eberflus definitely gets replaced.

It would also improve the Cowboyscown 1st round pick significantly.

I root for them to win but won't be sad if they don't.

i am flummoxed to say the least.
You hope for 8 wins. But after the glow wears off on one victorious Sunday, where are we, lad, except in a lower draft position.
Yoda wants to run the table. Then the draft. Then come a Mazi or a Guyton or a Sam Williams. Rinse, repeat.

Everyone wants to lose out for this mythical “ better pick “ . What’s the guarantee a “ better pick “ and a glorious parade down Main Street is in store if you finish a horrid 6-10-1 following up on MM crash & burn of 7-10 . Losing becomes the norm after awhile .

So if we win out, what will it prove: We can win when the pressure's off, beat the Comms/Giants, or we can look at history and say 'we were close to the Play-Offs that year? It's not as if Eberflus will play a more aggressive Defense scheme, for that he's going to need: an Edge, two Safeties, a CB and a LB who's presently not in the organisation.

That would be the worst possible scenario along with losing a key player or two to severe long term injuries.

Play all the youngsters
play them full time the next three games

see if there is ANYTHING there worth keeping
.500 is a great season, keep the coach and don't change anything for 10 years.
Signed,
Jason "Clappy Cown", (my real daddy is jeruhh jones) Garrett

I been saying for several weeks, even before we lost to Detroit, 8-8-1 or 10-6-1... nothing in between. Looks like it will be 8-8-1.
6 wins would maybe alert grandpa jones that his team of losers has a ways to go.
If they win 8 or 9 he will spend all off season spewing the lie that " we are really close"

If you beat the Chargers it’s an accomplishment they are playing for playoff position and yes it’s nice to sweep Wash & NY if they can do it
