Interesting that noone has picked this story up yet.
No kidding! If he'd been a Cowboy, it would have been all over the news.

Hey don't they look for this stuff in your physical???

Gotta love all the allegations that come out when people want free money from people who get big money contracts in sports.

Doubt it, but she sure should've....:D Man, no way you go unprotected w/the amount of uhmm "goodies" thrown in athlete's face on a daily basis.

Oh and according to the date on the article, it was just posted yesterday. News really hasn't broke yet nationally. But it will...

we will see if she has a case or not.but it should be a simple thing to figure out if they both have it,or not.if both do he's gonna have a few less bucks in the old bank account.knowingly passing on a std will get you clobbered in court

Interesting, isn't it, that no news organization has picked this up? They were more than happy to write about players accused of domestic violence, drunk driving, etc.--but not a peep about Vick. And, yes, you'd better believe that had this happened to most other players, it'd be out there already. Couldn't be the NFL trying to protect their highly overrated poster child--the one they're so determined becomes a huge star despite not doing anything to back it up yet? Naaahh.

Apparently Vick knew about the condition and didn't tell. That is wrong on his part, and he had unprotected sex knowing he could pass this on, you would think he would have used condom, if not for her then maybe so he doesn't add another STD to his repurtoir, no knowing what she had. Now, what about the girl though, she allowed him to have unprotected sex IMO, though now the law suit says she did not consent....but i beleive i read they had known each other intimately for a quite a while before having sex (yeah right) and now she is making it like he forced her to have sex without condom, as in she was saying no and he forced it, as in rape ???, an intimate friend ??? and she kept trying to call him on the phone but he would not return calls. if it was forced sex against her consent - why didn't she contact police ? why was she still calling him?? Now there is lawsuit after he is making BIG money.....
Hey, i wonder if Vick can place a lawsuit against the person who gave it to him.....to cover for all the losses he will have to pay out to this person, and the punitive damages of having to go through this dreadful court case (sarcasm). something does not add up with the girls testimony.

It was up on a bunch of boards yesterday. I don't think this will get National Attention.

This isn't a rape issue. In a legal sense, the issue isn't whether she consented to sex. The issue is, and we know that, she didn't consent to sex knowing that Vick has STD. The caselaw is firm on this point. If he knew, he had to tell her prior to sex.

If he knew or should have known that he had an STD prior to having sex with this women AND he didn't tell her, then he could be found guilty of criminal conduct and be held civilly liable.

I agree. I have little sympathy for the lady; she wouldn't want me on her jury. I would have a hard time moving beyond my preconceived notions that I have about her.

But from a legal matter, even if it was stupid on her part, it wouldn't excuse the criminal act of Vick (assuming the allegations are true). On the civil front, it doesn't matter that it was stupid on her part when determining liability of Vick. If it is true, then Vick is liable. Her stupidity would be what is called contributory negligence. I don't know how the law in Georgia works, but here in Texas, it would work like this: say the jury found her 10% negligent for not checking him out. Then whatever judgment that was assessed against, it would be decreased by 10% (or the amount of the contributory negligence of the girl). If they found her more than 50% negligent, then she couldn't recover in a civil suit for damages against Vick. But that is the analysis in Texas; again I don't know Georgia law.

If what she says is true, I think he could easily be hit for a couple million.
