From the time Bill Parcell's was hired til now, this team has been a product of recycled vets from the New England Patriots and New York Jets. Vinny T, Drew Bledsoe, Terry Glenn(Productive), Keyshawn Johnson(somewhat productive), Ryan Young, Dedric Ward(limited role), Adrian Murrell(see ward), Aaron Glenn(nice add), Marcus Coleman(pfft), and Jason Ferguson. Did I miss anybody?

For the last 3 and now going on 4 years, BP has tried to recycle his success he had with players that he had coached years prior to their arrival in Dallas. Problem is, none of the players ever brought him a Lombardi Trophy. What was he thinking? While Parcell's time in Dallas hasn't been a complete waste, we've had the displeasure of watching him turn old Qbs out to pasture, to graze on the artificial turf of Texas stadium, in both cases letting them extend their downward spiraling careers. Drew Bledsoe and Vinny Testeverde. Two reasons we may be starting a QB with less than a full games experience for the rest of this year.

The Tuna looked beaten and tired after the Monday night loss. He has failed with 10 games to go. Yeah, we could still end up with a playoff spot, sure, but HE has failed. He's failed at bringing his guys aboard and finishing what he couldn't in New England and New York. And that, imo, was his goal all along.....get the gang back together for a few more shots at the big one. Sacrificing the maturation of younger talent through his stubborness and reluctance to " lose a player ", or fielding a player that doesn't give a cellar dwelling team "the best chance to win".

I say quit now BP. Your job here is done. Yes, You have molded this team into a talented bunch from top to bottom, probably as talented a team than it's been in 8 to 10 years. Trouble is you've also stepped on it's wind pipe everytime it's had a chance to get out of the way of itself. Predictable, cowardly, and just horrific offensive game planning has been the only consistent element this team has had since an early playoff exit in your first year. Unless you count the predictable collapse that the defense always seems to have in big games.

Look, Just quit. Go start a Seniors League. I heard Drew Bledsoe might be looking for a starting job anywhere. You could field a decent team with some of the old timers you've had hanging out around Valley Ranch the last couple of years. Sprinkle in some greats from those Giants teams and I bet you could really be onto something.

That is all.

Always has to be a conspiracy. Anyone ever think about the fact that most of those scrubs are a lot better then the scrubs who were already on this team at that time. Its more of an indictment of just how pathetic this team was that BP was scraping the bottom of the barrel looking to upgrade it. All BP does is try and give his team the best chance to win and I for one think this team will be better off in the long run for him being here regardless.

I tell you all I heard for the last couple of years is how BP will never pull his QB and put in some young guy over one of "His Guys" now he does and BP is still catching hell? Oh Brother!!! :lmao2:

DId you see him after the game on monday? It broke his heart to yank Bledsoe. This season is far from over and yet he looks like he's ready for the old folks home.

Jerry has bought him a ton of groceries and all he's done is throw a bunch of left overs from the back of the fridge out there.

How many of these recycled vets from the Patriots and Jets are playing a big part in Dallas now?

Terry Glenn, Aaron Glenn, and Jason Ferguson. Your point is foolish.

I think many of us felt ready for the old folks home. I'm sure BP did not want to yank Bledsoe but I think the look after the game had more to do with his team playing poorly in all phases of the game.

At this juncture we still have the opportunity to end up mediocre or seriously up and coming. I am optimistic because this offense will not only open up and be more productive but in the aggregate reduce turning over the ball once Romo settles in. This defense will be more inspired and may be allowed to be more aggressive.

The talent is here with the exception of the Oline and coaching personnel.

I don't think people should be complaining about Parcells on this decision. But you have to admit Dooms, that Romo is kind of known as one of "his guys" too. Romo was a Parcell's project.

Your point may be foolish. This is 3 guys out of the many many many "Parcells guys" that have been brought here. And , by the way, these 3 guys haven't gotten us any further than the lousy guys we had before. Just a lower draft pick. Parcells has wasted our time!!! Never drafting a quarterback. Not knowing who to draft on the Oline. Not getting younger at receiver. (We do have a few young guys, but I don't believe any of them are #1 receivers.) Parcells was looking for the quick fix. That didn't happen. He is now in quick sand and sinking quickly!!!

All of these players are "His Guys" the guys he cut in training camp or over the last 6 weeks were "His Guys" now they are no ones guys. Parcells like most coaches do bring in players they have a history with to help transition to younger players.

I know what you are saying, but they are not all "his guys" in the sense that people mean that when they say it. And you know that Dooms. Coaches have players that they really like, and then they have players that they just coach.

Keyshawn, Pepper Johnson, L. T., and others were some of Parcell's favorites and it wasn't a secret to anyone.

Listen, it is his, and ANY coach's right to have "his guys". I'm not disputing that for a moment. I'm just simply pointing out the reality of it, and I consider Romo to be one of those players that Parcells not only likes his ability, but also just really likes him personally.

Well the reality of it is he will cut one of his guys or pull on of his guys just like he would any other player. No doubt Key was one of BP favorites but not to the point that Dallas made a big effort to keep Key.

I wouldn't dispute that, I think you are right. The only SLIGHT difference is that he may stay with them a little longer than he would someone else. But he will NEVER stay with ANYONE who is just flat out causing him to lose.

I agree. I just think way too much gets made about Bill's Guys. It has been a constant knock on Parcells and frankly a lot of his so called Guys have done well in Dallas
