Naw, we're good.
Well check it, there are actually peeps on your forum that like insight and details of the opposition. Plus, after a potential defeat (any team can win on any given day), you may be like 'dang, I didn't know "enter player name here" was that good.' With that said, you can simply overlook this post as well; no problem.
Rams offense
We are a young group in the grand scheme of things. As you all know, Sean McVay is an offensive, detail oriented, minded coach. We run a hybrid of the WCO. Our obvious contributors are Gurley, Watkins, and Woods. The lesser known options include 2nd round rookie TE Gerald Everett, 3rd round rookie WR Cooper Kupp, and second year TE Tyler Higbee.
The main difference with this WR group opposed to years past is that these guys actually execute and create separation. Kupp (slot guy) has extremely good hands and crisp route running. He could potentially pose a problem on yalls nickel corner/safety. Everett is battling a thigh contusion and is likely to play, but not sure what his snap count will be. His big advantage is making guys miss in space. The problems in our offense lie with the right side of the line; RT- Rob Havenstien and RG- Jamon Brown. These two guys are both second year players that are still learning to play their positions. Speed rushers are the most successful against both of them. Lawrence could have a big day and that's something I'm hoping we can eliminate obviously. We currently have the best and highest rated LT in Andrew Whitworth so good luck to whomever lines up on his side. At RG is Rodger Saffold whom has been a solid contributor since we drafted him, when healthy that is. FA pickup is center John Sullivan who may not play with a groin injury. If that's the case, then Austin Blythe will step in and hopefully man up.
Overall, this is an improving offense. The TEs struggle to block inline, or getting to the second level. So that will be something I'm sure y'all will try to exploit.
Rams defense
Where to begin. Well, we are three games into a 3-4 scheme and so far; not good. We cannot stop the dagum run to save our life. It's clear that if we don't adjust and contain Elliot, it's going to be a long day. You may know our studs in Aaron Donald, Robert Quinn, Michael Brockers, Alec Ogletree, and Trumaine Johnson. All good players, but we just don't have it clicking yet. Johnson will most definitely be shadowing Dez Bryant most likely. Johnson is a big, physical man-to-man corner, and that seems to potentially play in our favor. But as we all know, Dez can take over a game in an instant no matter who is covering him (unless is Janoris Jenkins -ex Ram ). Our biggest injury so far is Lamarcus Joyner at safety. He's a big loss if he doesn't play this week with a hammy issue. That guy can tackle, cover, you name it he can do it.
The key is stopping the run and making you guys one deminsional which is what you guys will try to do to us.
At the end of the day, whichever defense comes to play will win IMO.
Good luck guys.
