Although I wasn't old enough to watch the game, whenever I see Super Bowl XIII highlights, as a Cowboys fan it eats me up. Especially the bogus pass interference call on Barnes. And everything else that didn't go our way...

That made me think, if you guys can change the outcome of one Cowboys game which would it be:

1. Ice Bowl: We would have won the first Super Bowl...
2. Super Bowl XIII: Would have been the team of the '70s. More Cowboys in the HoF and swann and bradshaw would shut up.
3. '81 NFC Championship game at SF
4. '94 NFC Championship game at SF: 21pt come back at SF would have made it the greatest come back in NFL history. Followed by 3 straight SBs would have put us as the greatest dynasty. If not for Boniol's missed 27yd FG, bad time management at the end of the 1st half or most importantly the bogus non pass interference call on Deion when he mugged Irvin in the 4th quarter...

Which game eats you up the most.

I'd say it's a tough call between SB XIII and '94 NFC Championship game. Right now, I'd say SB XIII by a nose. I'd love to here what you guys think. Especially the guys who watched all these games.

Unluckily, unlike you guys, who have experience the good and the bad, I've just had the bad....

I started watching the Cowboys since 1998, and since then, we've just had a quick, downward spiral. I was so unused to winning that I thought it was the greatest accomplishment for the Cowboys to even sniff the playoffs...so I would have no idea about any of those...

Haha probably am. When I was little I used to root for the Eagles because they were green, my favorite color. I used to hate the Cowboys...maybe that's why they won 3 super bowls...and then when I'm old enough to find out that the Cowboys are a part of my family, they go from good to horrible faster than you can say "Cowboy"

Being a Cowboy fan from waaaaaaaay back in the day, there are many games that eat at me. Both in the post season and in the regular season. To pick the best (or worst) one is really tough. That ice bowl game really sucked. I know it wasn't a game but Jimmy Johnson leaving was bad. I knew that cost us a couple more super bowl wins.

you're right. Jimmy Johnson leaving may have been the worst. With Johnson, we would have won at least four in a row.

I'd change the Championship game against San Fran. Not a doubt in my mind we'd have won 4 in a row. We'd have 6 titles, and everyone else would be 2 behind us.

The "Ice Bowl" I still cringe every time I'm reminded of that heartbreaking loss.

Losing The 1965 Championship game against GB........Those are my changes

We would have won SB's 1 & 2........we would now have 7 SB titles

If I had to pick one I would say the Ice Bowl. Every time I watch that game I keep praying Starr will slip on the ice, fall short of the TD and we win the game. Had we won that one and gone on to win the SB that year I believe it would have set the tone for the next several years and we wouldn't have worn the label of "can't win the big one".

I can still remember how I felt watching that game on TV as a 9-year old kid and how heartbroken I was when we lost again. That loss, IMO, setup the losses to the Browns the next two years as well as the loss to the Colts in SB V which we should have won.

When we finally won the SB in 1971 it was the greatest feeling in the world for me but I always felt it came 4 years too late.

The only sure play was the Ice Bowl. We stop the play we win.

The Catch happened on third down. The 49ers still had one more down. And if Drew Pearson had a tear-away jersey on, no one who remember "The Catch."

It's doubtful we would have won the 94 Championship Game. We dug a whole for ourselves with three turnovers resulting in a quick 21-0 lead for the 49ers.

That was really too big a whole to dig out of at that time against a good team.

But remember, changing any part of history alters the future. Who says we're in the same position we are with Aikman, Smith and Irvin as well as Jimmy Johnson being the coach.

Or if Danny White would have picked another game to do his Drew "fumble" Bledsoe impersonation.

Two things every Cowboy fan remembers:

1. Where they were when Kennedy was shot

2. Where they were when Dwight made "the Catch".

Two very dark days.

I would change the 81 SF game. I think Danny played some good football while he was the QB. I often wonder what would have happened had we won that game and possibly the Super Bowl. Would Dallas have bottomed out in the late 80's or would that have changed the way they drafted for the rest fo the decade? I still remember crying in my grandmothers living room after the game. Most painful loss I have ever watched.

Anyone who blames Danny for the '81 loss doesn't know what they're talking about. Hell, Montana threw three picks in that game.

In any loss there is usually plenty of blame to go around. Most Cowboy fans remember White and his fumble at the end that kept us from coming back. That of course opened the door for "the catch" phrase to be shoved down our throats forever. He doesn't fumble, we kick a FG to win and Dwight Clark is just another guy. I get sick of seeing that play especially knowing we could have won that game.

Montana had like four minutes to engineer his drive. White had 50 seconds.
