Electronics off when on planes, no phones in movie theaters. Got it.

They should have dragged her off the plane. 45 minutes is about 42 minutes more of patience than they should have for people like that.

I don't get it. If the plane has already landed, why turn off your phone? I can see turning it off before take off or before landing, but after landing they spend 45 minutes trying to get a lady to turn her phone off? Something does not add up...

No. My mistake I worded my post wrong. It took 45 mins to depart from Denver and that's when she wouldn't turn her phone off to take off

No. It does not compute. Just turn the damn phone off. But there are bullies on airplanes these days.

Oh...ok, that makes sense. When I was working I did a lot of traveling and one time in Columbus, OH, we were getting ready to take off, and a lady did something with her phone like you described, but I was not really aware of what was happening until about after 5 or 6 minutes the plane stopped it's taxi before, came back to the terminal and some Security came aboard and took her off. That is how we all found out what she did.

But, lately, I've been hearing about the laws being changed to allow passengers to keep electronics on regardless and there really is no need to turn anything off.

Or...they could just let people use their devices and not make a big deal about it.

Or you could not buy a plane ticket if you don't agree with the rules they have in place.

But what if it's an emergency and you needed to fly to your destination? You could sneak a phone in your shoe, maybe?

Then, turn it on when nobody is looking....

Well.... if you sit in the back of the plane...

This is true too, but when the rule in place is stupid, I think the best option is to eliminate the rule which eliminates even the possibility for anyone to break it.
