This was the most foolish playcall of the afternoon. We are moving the ball effectively and are on the edge of at least a field goal attempt, when we call a play that can cost big yardage if not executed properly, and that's exactly what happened. This was the swing play of the game, that took the offense out of the rhythm it had established all day long. It took two more drives to finally get it back.
TO needs to make that catch. He catches that ball and its ball game. Very much mirrored the Keyshawn drop from last week @ Carolina.
The blocked field goal is a totally different animal. They happen, but how? Everyone has to hold their block for ONE play no matter what. Then the poor 15yd penalty call, and bingo recipe for disaster. For the life of me I don't know how we can allow that play to happen.
Tony was phenomenal. He shows no signs of being a flash in the pan. That said, I need to remove the lump from my throat. The closing sequence is indicative of our entire season thus far. We need to rebound if we have any chance at salvaging the season. Wow.
