I think it's pretty clear Garrett is done in Dallas. Lot of smoke and mirrors once the season ended, but the decision was made a year ago.
Good grief. Just get this over with already!!!
Well, they can interview other candidates as well. If we are looking squarely at McCarthy, who as of two years ago, was 3-8-1 without Aaron Rodgers, who throws the back shoulder fade, break the pocket and throw daggers army lightning speed to compensate for trash scheming better than anyone, then this is a bad sign.
They are awaiting the formality of his contract expiring so they do not have to fire him. I wonder if they've OK'd it for him to interview with any interested parties?
And I wonder if there are any interested parties? Booger may have done more harm than good in keeping him because the negatives on Garrett this year have been more than any HC I can recall since Kotite. Another GM or owner might get some backlash from their fans in just talking to him.
I can't imagine the Cowboys won't be heavily involved with numerous other candidates.
...unless Garrett is being considered against the new interviews
I had a conspiracy theory in the back of my mind that Jerry will just interview a list of unimpressive candidates and then say, Garrett was the best option for this year and they will re-evaluate next year as a way to try and sell another year of Garrett and then hope this team somehow catches lightning in a bottle.
In other news, water is wet.
Imagine thinking a guy like McCarthy would allow his agent to block him from interviewing with the Cowboys.
What would this board do if McCarthy was hired as OC, Lewis was hired as DC and Garrett was retained as head coach? This board will melt down. I’m talking a meltdown of epic proportions. Lol.
You thought there was fighting on the staff this year? Imagine 3 people that all interviewed for same job having to work together.
McCarthy still in Dallas.
LLLOOOLLL, Boy talk about some laughing.
If they hire this guy then they just don’t get it at all and I’ll probably check out on this team even more then I already have.
McCarthy is a guy the Jones’s can have their way with and gives us no edge on game day just like the last coach.
McCarthy isn't my top choice either but he isn't a bad pick at all. He had A-Rod but the rest of the talent on that team couldn't touch this Dallas roster. The man is proven in the playoffs and has a championship ring. I would say he is a very strong candidate and would be a great hire.
set sail for fail
just because they haven't told the public doesnt mean they haven't told Garrett.
pretty obvious they have.
All part of the plan
On the flip side - the contents of this tweet is very coach wise
I don't mind getting lost, especially with Ginger & MaryAnn. But why do I have to follow Gilligan & the Skippers navigational skilkset
