There are two guys I want to throw out there for consideration.

One is Jason Hill from Washington St.

WR 6-1 205, 4.4 type speed. This kid might actually be faster then this. He timed with injuries. Had a high ankle sprain twords the end of the season and played on it the rest of the year. Don't know that it was completely healed by the time he timed. This guy could slip in the draft and I think he might have a chance to be something.

The other is Quincy Black from New Mexico.

People are not going to like Black because he is not huge. He probably goes in the area of 6-2 235 to 240. He's light for a LB but, I think he can put on a few pounds once he gets to the NFL and he plays all over the field. He plays the Lobo position for UNM which is the same type of position Urlacker played. He plays like a monster with coverage responsabilities and run support responsabilites. He is a LB but he's not the kind you expect. He runs well and he is very good latterally. This is an ultra productive player at UNM. If you are looking for a Donnie Edwards kind of player, this is your guy. In a Tampa2 type set, he can be the deep zone LB you must have to be succesful in that coverage model.

I really think Burnett is our Donnie Edwards in Wade's defense...he can cover well. Black looks intriguing, but give me Burnett playing the middle.

I have been keeping my eye on Quincy Black for a while. Good call there. He had a good showing in the East-West game and opened some eyes.

Black is better then Burnett in coverage. Way better and, he's quicker and faster. Burnett might work out but if Black slips into day 2, I'd be very interested in him.

I'm thinking we draft maybe Revis in the first round and grab Jason Hill whose got #1 WR potential in the 2nd. We also still need add a DT/NT & a ILB along with OL.

Don't know what to do about FS position. I'm hoping Watkins steps up to the job this year but what happens if he doesn't and moving Henry to FS might not be the best thing to do. Just have to believe Phillips and his staff know what's best for us at FS. If we draft FS high, there not a lot of confidence in Watkins. If we drafter a late FS prospect/or none at all, then we all know Phillips has a lot of confidence in Watkins. Thankfully it's not my call.

he didn't play like he runs a 4.4 IMO that's why there was the myth that speed was a problem for him, all the way up until the Combine, he didn't even look fast in Senior Bowl workouts

I like Antwan Barnes better for our D, he's 240, 6'2" too, is good in coverage, but was a better pass-rusher in college, actually, their Combine #s were pretty similar

At the Senior Bowl, they played him out of position. I can tell you that he is a very quick, very fast player. I have watched him myself for two years now. I am not a scout but I do know that this guy all over the field and he can cover. He has not really impressed me as a pass rushing LB but as a cover LB and a guy who can tackle, he is everything you want. I don't know much about Antwan Barnes other then the fact that he plays for Florida INT. and that he has NFL size and speed. I have never seen the player play before so I can't say if he's good or not. I can say that he was not as productive as Black was in regards to tackles or coverage over the past two season. He seems to be able to pass rush but I don't know how that equates to the talent he faced or what. I have seen Black play on a week to week basis. He really impresses me with his ability to play in space and show up on the defensive side of the ball. If Barnes plays like his dimensions show, he sounds like a good prospect but not as the ILB you need in the Tampa2. More like an OLB pass rush specialist. I'll see if I can find more on him.
