I don't think they can afford to swap centers after also cutting JSmith... can't tick around with team chemistry too much at one time.
exactly. Even Fred Beard had his times. In the NFL, everyone is good on both sides of the lines. This is true. And it's important to keep in mind this happens to other centers. It's not like its an exclusive issue for him.
Cox has been tough for a lot of centers. He got pushed around against Philly....Cox and company...so people ran with it. They like doing that....he and Williams struggled in that game, but bounced back nicely against Carolina.

I hear Cox may be a trade target. We need 2 watch that. I think a third rd pick I may do it.I think he just got overmatched on intensity a couple of times. He does well in normal pass protection but a few times he just got blown up. Seemed caught by surprise. Maybe it is technique or lack of focus.
So far, I been wrong about Tyron. He's been healthy and great.Boy was I wrong about Steele. He has saved the teams bacon.Ball and Farniok will prove invaluable to the team at some point this year or next. Just remember I said that. These dudes are the real deal. Both mean and nasty.,This line is built for the longterm.
I find the PFF grades "interesting" and nothing more. I feel like they would be a terrible evaluation tool.Have you ever heard the saying “a rising tide raises all ships?”
I’d be interested in seeing Biadasz’s individual grade. That said, I usually don’t put too much stock in PFF grades one way or the other.
Not technique, just too small and not strong enough to deal with top notch players. Not just Philly. When a lineman gets bull rushed into the QB it is pretty noticeable and we saw it when Vita Vea did in Week 1. Then we saw it the following week when Linval Joseph did it. Then Hargrave had his way with him. And it wasn;t just Biadasz. Connor Williams got bent over the blocking sled a few times but Cox and Hargrave too.
I really think it is a technique issue with the both of them. They are fine run blocking but pass blocking they tend to get shoved around a few plays by the bigger stonger DTs.
Why does he seem to have a bad rap here or some believe we need to replace him?
It seems like he is doing a solid job out there as the starter for being a 2nd year player drafted in the 4th round.
Dallas has the highest graded oline.
He can't be doing poorly.
Am I missing something?

The didn’t look bad. They had a few plays where they got mauled but overall they’ve played well in pass protection. In this two games you mentioned, they had some awfully tough assignments and performed well considering.his pass protection against DTs isn't very good. Same for Williams. They both looked bad in the Philly and Tampa games.
