In a deep receiver class, Kansas State WR Tyler Lockett "could fall further than his talents suggest, giving someone a steal on Day 2 or later," writes Gordon McGuinness of Pro Football Focus.
The 5-foot-9, 181-pound Lockett finished with 93 catches for 1,351 yards and nine touchdowns lastseason. "If there is a prospect in this draft who looks like he's simply too small to be regarded as a top pick, it's Lockett," McGuinness wrote. "A big-play threat who produced 559 yards on passes 20 yards or more downfield in 2014, he plays much bigger than his 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame suggests, going up to win the ball at the catch point when needed. An impressive route runner, he has quick feet that allow him to quickly getopen and find holes in zones well." Lockett has been compared to Colts WR T.Y. Hilton. Apr 25 - 11:39 PM

I'd rather have him than Devin Smith. Better all around player. I think better than Terrance Williams.

I'm confused, is he 5'9 or 5'11... wow

He's 5'9".

If the Cowboys didn't resign Cole Beasley to the contract that they did, then this kid would be a great fit. It will be very hard for him to play anything other than the slot at his size.

I'm with you on Devin Smith... But Lockett would be a nice consolidation prize...

I don't care if we have given Cole his contract, or have Williams, if this dude is there on the clock and BPA I swoop him up so fast!

One of my favorite players in the draft!

Now this is a player that I've been kind of quietly hoping Dallas finds a way to get. He could replace Harris but IMO he might be better than Terrence Williams. The guy has done nothing but produce ever since he stepped foot on campus.

Really a good player who I would have been harping on much more had Dallas not been so set at WR.

The problem is that I think he will go maybe a full round before Dallas is willing to take a returner. If they look at him as a prospect who could be a possible full time WR, they might take him sooner then.

Who knows though... he will likley be the BPA for a round or two.

Yes, it's difficult to have to really small WRs on the 46 man game day roster.

Agree, but if Lockett can be a factor in the return game...

It's still puts a big strain on the 46 if he is only a returner and does not play coverage teams which most guys that size don't.

That is the trade off of having Beasley as not really a starter, not a special teams player and not a backup for the outside receivers.

If they could handle having a return specialist that does not do anything else, there is a guy on the roster Reggie Dunn that was a terrific returner in college. He is 5-9, 178 and ran a 4.22 forty and averaged 51 yards per kick return.
