Only a cowboy fan would look at a performance like that, with one preseason game to go, with this defense and say, "Whatever, do more."

I have seen too many pre seaon legends ceated against other teams twos and threes, exposed against other teams ones.

I agree with you BTW, however, I've seen at least 15-20 bottom of the roster guys mentioned here in the past 2-3 weeks where someone (usually multiple people) say "Never will make it through waivers to the PS to he'll be on the 53".

The bitter truth is <MOST> of those types do get waived and a surprising number don't end up on the Cowboy practice squad because usually the Cowboys have their eye on other team's players for their practice squad.

It's harder to get CBs to the practice squad. The Cowboys have had a couple that they lost trying it. Both were late round draft picks. Josh Thomas I think was the name of the last one. Patmon looks a lot better than that guy did.

Patmon is a bit of a relief cause Mo is so problematic. With Mo's low production we should be able to resign him
for little. I know that sounds odd but Mo might turn the corner and if he does he'll be good. Some kinda production
based contract.

Patmon does not need to have similar performance against an opposing team's starters to prove he is legit. He just needs to show he can play in the league wether it is against 1st or 2nd team players. There is nothing wrong with having quality depth.

For those that keep saying he needs to do it again. Well that is exactly what this thread is about. He played big time tonight against the players in front of him and that is all you can ask for.

Note: For those that did not realize next Tuesday the roster has to be trimmed down to 75. By me saying he deserves a chance against Denver next week means I do not think he should be cut before getting another chance to prove he can play in the NFL.

“I see this guy No. 20, this defensive back, I don’t even know the guy,” Kiffin said. “I want to see him out there. He reminds me of Ronde Barber. I don’t know that he’s Ronde Barber now. It’s exciting.”

- Kiffen on Patmon

This was way back in minicamp. He wasn't even on the roster at that point.

He has the eye of the coaching staff. I would say it's pretty likely he makes the team.

Wow, great quote. That's encouraging. Thanks for providing!

The kid looks like a player. It would be foolish to ignore the possibilities. I have been hearing his name from Broaddus' tweets so it's not that shocking he showed up. What would be shocking is if we let him go. I really doubt that after tonight. Hope to see more of the same next week. So that would make Claiborne, Carr, Moore, Mitchell, Patmon with no Webb (Scandrick does not count against 53 for first four weeks.) I think Webb has had his opportunities to shine, and he hasn't. Time to let him go.

Good point. CBs are such a position of demand that a glimpse of promise is enough to peak a team's interest.

That was elite closing speed on the play. No way they can sneak him on the PS. He'll take someones roster spot.
