BEFORE the Dolphin game (off Ed Cahill's Twitter): "Secondary coach Henderson told me before the game that they "may have found one" with Tyler Patmon. Looks like it."
He had a very impressive night for sure. If he can come close to that kind of production consistently, I dont see how you can cut him.

“I see this guy No. 20, this defensive back, I don’t even know the guy,” Kiffin said. “I want to see him out there. He reminds me of Ronde Barber. I don’t know that he’s Ronde Barber now. It’s exciting.”
- Kiffen on Patmon.

This was way back in minicamp. He wasn't even on the roster at that point.
He has the eye of the coaching staff. I would say it's pretty likely he makes the team.

So was Minter last week. Preseason makes HOFers of us all
Yep, I remember that. Was wondering if it was the same guy, at first I kinda rolled my eyes at that quote but now it looks like Kiffin may actually know what he's talking about?
He made more plays in one game than Webb has made in his short career. I didn't watch the game but it looks like he's a gamer in this scheme, and people thinking he could make the PS don't really understand how absolutely terrible some team's 3-5 corners are, some of them are really, really bad. He'd never clear waivers.
To anyone that watched him, what kind of coverage were they putting him in?
That was elite closing speed on the play. No way they can sneak him on the PS. He'll take someones roster spot.
It wasn't elite closing speed, it was even better... film study. He said so himself on DC.Com.
His pick six was pure recognition. He had seen something that made him jump that route so well.
I have seen too many pre seaon legends ceated against other teams twos and threes, exposed against other teams ones.

Nobody in the league can come close to that production consistently.
Extrapolation puts that at 32 picks, 16 forced fumbles and 16 TDs for a season. Come on.
Think this dude deserve a serious look next week against Denver. We need playmakers and he showed tonight he can be just that.
