I don't know why I think anything will change year to year when this team is still under the same ownership, management and head coach it's been under the last four years but once again I was drawn in hook, line and sinker.

The game today was typical of this franchise. This is what they are now. When they need to get it done to take that next step on the path to something special they are consistently caught with their pants down. Darth Jones runs his mouth talking about how the team prepared for the Eagles during the bye yet the team comes out as unprepared and disinterested as I've seen.

I've always held out hope that this team would find lightning in a bottle despite Jerry Jones but I think that's impossible now. The only way this team will break free of permanent mediocrity is if Darth Jones sees the light, hands over GM duties to someone who isn't a complete joke and they bring in a coaching staff that focuses on an actual game plan each week instead of using the same predictable garbage play calling no matter the opponent.

I'm not trying to be overly dramatic or pessimistic, if anything I'm an optimist...but this team has been doing its best to suck the optimism right outa me. Yea I'll be watching this team every week and wishing for the best but I'm done letting them dupe me into thinking this year might be different.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Had them beating us on thanks, had cowboys beating them in philly for weeks now.

Cowboys haven't been a good thanks team for years now. Didn't think the cowboys would be able to match their intensity. Am shocked they shut us down on O.

If we beat chicago, I love the fact we'll go into philly with no one giving us a shot, Including the woe is us cowboy fandom.

One thing that worries me is the defense seems to ready for an all out collapse. Can they get back to respectability?

One of the secondary receivers(witten too) has to step up. Williams, where have you gone? We may need to open up the play book a little bit. Pass to set up the run. Get romo into an early rhythm.

Every year when the chips are down and we have it all on the line what do we do....we play like we did. And like you i ask myself why i expect anything different from one year to the next with this team. I dont understand the problem they have..they fold with all that talent, granted not superbowl worthy but my god but forth an effort at least. Game was over at halftime for CRIPES SAKE!!!! The family and myself went out of our ways to be home for the game and this is how you are rewarded..Total disgrace...BLAH BLAH BLAH...same old team.

We got our *** kicked. It happens. The Niners are too, KC got beat by Oakland, Seattle got beat by the Rams.

If we lose the next 3 out of 4 then I think you can say "here we go again." But as much as it is an emotional response right now the team has earned the benefit of the doubt so far. If you think they are this bad - they're not. They looked tired and got steamrolled early.

Let it play out. Anything can happen - both good and bad, but at least let it happen. Nothing's changed yet, the season is still ahead of us.

The L today was disappointing-- no doubt about that.

BUT-- just remember that Dallas was coming off an emotionally draining win on Sun night, and had a short week to get ready for the highest temp offense in the NFL. The set up certainly favored Philly.

We'll get 10 days to prepare for Philly after the Chicago game. Should be interesting to see what kind of performance we see in 2 weeks.

We have everything in front of us. We win the next 2 games, and at worst-- we're in a first place tie for the division lead with 2 weeks to play.

YEAH CHIPS WERE DOWN...and you know damn right well this just wasnt any football game especially considering we go there in 2 weeks.

I've had them winning the game for 5 or 6 weeks now. Didn't like the matchup on thanksgiving for us.

Up there's gonna be tough because their better than I thought they were. Their D line gives us trouble even when their down(season) it's going to be hell on a Sunday night!

I wonder about Romo's health. #gamechanger hasn't looked good since injury.

Don't know how this D will be able to stop the Chicago offense. It may come down to who has the ball last.

Im with ya, this was very typical of this franchise......But DIG A LITTLE DEEPER....who scheduled this 4 game stretch.....look at the schedule. All prime time games.....

Sunday Night Giants vs Cowboys
Thursday Thanksgiving Cowboys vs Eagles
Sunday Night Bears vs Cowboys
Sunday Night Eagles vs Cowboys

So who exactly who wanted the Cowboys to play 4 prime time games in a row....not to mention 3 games in 12 days with the playoffs on the line.....who is setting this franchise up for failure.....NFL? or ? seems very coincidental to me.....is all about the show and someone wants to put on a show in prime time.....more than a championship. That or gambling he can have both....risk vs reward.

One of my favorite things about people around here is when we lose and we play it down or shrug it off like nothing happened.

That is my least favorite thing about this place. This is the Dallas Cowboys. I love this team and EXPECT great things from them. Too many fans have become satisfied with mediocrity. It is truly sad.

Good teams start peaking this time of year. They got out coached, out hit, and out desired. Oh and the defense is what we thought it was. When the opponent rushes for 5.7 yards per carry you will lose a lot of football games.
