A couple of weeks ago. But I believe his 2017 is now guaranteed

Sooooooo, to recap the offseason for the defense:

- Lost 4 of our Top 6 defensive backs. Signed an Eagles reject apparently as a solution. No worries. We can go heavy on DBs in the draft! Except................

- Still haven't quite fixed the pass rush issue that has plagued us for a few seasons. That's OK, Tapper will deliver and we'll draft a DE! At least DT is in good shape! Except...........

- One of the DT we are counting on just had shoulder surgery on his other shoulder and it's even worse than his previous injury. No worries. We'll draft a DT!

So essentially............... to improve this defense, we are going to have to nail every one of our 6 draft picks.

Makes sense.

and it is too late even to try to sign a top FA or so even if they decide to use the 30m of cap flexibility in 2017 that they have (or more)
