He is a guy that can be a real problem in the league. Real talent will pop out on screen a lot of times during preseason, as with Dak Prescott, Dwayne Harris among others. We now see flashes of it with Rico. This is a guy who has had what, 1 season of football since middleschool, and that was last season, and he's already catching touchdowns in the endzone.

Yeah, heard that about the last three TEs we drafted high: Red zone weapon; match-up nightmare, etc. But yes, the talent is clearly there with Rico Suave, but he still has to learn the game. Unfortunately, his best chance to get meaningful playing time is if old-man Witten gets hurt and that wouldn't be good for us.

People are getting ahead of themselves here. This year I don't expect much of anything maybe 200 yards a TD or two. Next year I think WItten retires and his time to show he is the prime player is then.

Gathers big frame is hard to defend period. That's nothing you can teach. Him using that big frame and jumping up to get the ball bodes well for him. He's not a body catcher. He's a tall, heavy guy that is a matchup nightmare, especially when he will likely have around 50 pounds on the guy covering him. Contrary to some, I also like that he gets mad when he messes up in practice. This is a guy that clearly wants to improve. I'd be more concerned about the guy that is nonchalant or happy after a mess up. Obviously, given his lack of experience, he will have his rough edges, but this guy has the potential to be an offensive weapon if he continues to progress.

Mostly agree. He's intense, and somewhat immature but overall he is flashing for sure. That Baylor program had it's issues under Briles but I don't condemn a young guy like this. He should be judged on his own. So far so good IMO. Some minor turbulence but nothing alarming.

Reminds me a little of Bennett but bigger. Time will tell.

I don't care if Rico can block or not. We don't really need him to with this line and Zeke.

That catch though? With a DB draped all over him? Beast stuff.
More like perfect throw.

Perfect throw or not he still made a play while being Raped and fondled.

TWill drops that or get it picked....on a perfect throw
TWill made the single greatest catch in Cowboys history though.

His playing time will be dependent on his blocking ability.
