What other guys. Procter blows. We all saw it first hand. He needs to go. I realize he was 3rd string but come on. We can do better.

agreed.. the only reason Procter saw playing time, was simply because there was nobody else to back up Guroude.

Who know, maybe Procter has had a great off season, gained 20 lbs of solid muscle, worked on his foot speed in the back peddle, and gained about 55 IQ points.

Why would you drop Proctor before McQuistan? Proctor was obviously better than McQuistan since it was Proctor that got on the field.

Yeah well look how long it took the coaching staff to put Holland on the field and he was CLEARLY better then proctor so SORRY NYC I do NOT have that much confidence in our staff.

Players who should be scared on our team:

Alan Ball
Tra Battle
Courtney Brown
Jerome Carter
Rodney Hannah
Michael Hawkins
Steve Octavien
Cory Procter
Justin Rogers
Matt Spanos
Matt Stewart
Pat Watkins
Travis Wilson

I really can't see a lot of the guys we drafted ever starting, but their will be some churn on the depth chart.

There was a reason he wasn't on the field. At first, they said he just wasn't ready to play in our scheme. Then once he was he got injured.

I'm liking some of these guys we're picking up.

Not a single player on that list I want to keep.

McQuistan was a tackle, not a guard. They switched his position to try to keep Proctor from playing after the Holland injury.

You're right about McQ. I hope we replace both.

totally agree with that, i think thats why the cowboys did what they did with mainly taking special teams players. Because not sure if your aware of this or not, but there was talk about some of the players on special teams didnt want to play on special teams. And ex special teams coach had to lilke beg players to play on special teams.

Do you remember the arizona game where the cowboys pinned the arizona kickoff guy near the sideline, and folk was standing there. All Folk had to do was come up and force him out of bounds, but folk just stood there.

Folk did the same thing on several other games, he wouldnt come up in the hole and force the play.

I think thats why tony curtis was let go too, remember he was one of the players along with rogers that let mcbrair get hurt on the punt block.

I remember one time, witten was screaming at tony curtis on sideline, because curtis was suppose to be out there, and he wasnt.

Getting some depth on the O-Line through this. As long as we've got some good competition for that, the depth, so that we can get some better back-ups in that area I'll be quite happy. Seems like we might have got a pretty quick receiver there, as well.

I was a bit surprised we didn't take more oline guys myself, I'm REALLY hoping Brewster pans out, we have crap luck with linemen.

At the end of the year they finally put McQuistan out there and he was a lot better than Proctor.

6'6" 250lbs for a C? Is this correct?

Seems a little light.......
Kiper list him as a 6-6 260 TE. He is also suppose to be a LS. Its certainly possible they could bulk him up and try C though. Thats what Brian Watters did coming out of North Texas but moved to guard.

now you guys are preaching....now you guys are getting it. we had WAY TO MANY HIGH DRAFT PICKS WE WERE COUTING ON FOR SPECIAL TEAMS...these guys KNOW they will not be cut because of their draft status

Special teams guys have to play from WEEK TO WEEK as if their lives depended on it. But when the Anthony Spencers and Bobby Carpenters and Kevin Burnetts...all guys that were 1st and 2nd round picks...when these are the guys you are EXPECTING to do the dirty work....you are not where you need to be in terms of how your roster is built.

It also did not help that Hard Knocks left EVERYONE on the team thinking their were rock stars....so special teams work was beneath some of these guys. But we are getting them out of here now.

Thats because they haven't realized the greatness of Danny Amendola ... I was told last offseason he was a faster version of Welker.

Travis Bright
G, Brigham Young
TRAVIS BRIGHT MEASURABLES
Height: 6-4 Weight: 317
40-yard dash: 5.39 10-yard dash: 1.81
20-yard shuttle: 4.56 60-yard shuttle:
Broad jump: 9-0 225-lb. bench: 35
3-cone drill: 7.76 Vertical jump: 35
Wonderlic: 20-yard dash: 3.09

War Room analysis
Strengths: Is strong, especially at the point of attack. Uses his hands well and plays under control. Displays impressive technique, works to make all his blocks and is a good finisher. Is quick off the ball and has a strong, effective punch. Plays under his pads well in the run game. Is a powerful run blocker who can move the pile. Uses his size and bulk to lean on the defender and wear him out.

Weaknesses: Has below-average lateral quickness. Must improve his hip and knee flexibility. Plays high at times. Is not a natural athlete. Lacks the speed or quickness to make blocks in space. Can be beaten by faster defenders in the pass blocking area.

Bottom line: Bright is a solid football player who understands how to play the game. He is best as a run blocker, but needs some work on pass blocking. Still, there's little doubt he'll be playing on Sundays next season as a starter.

I think this guy was overlooked because of his age....don't be suprised if he cracks the roster.
