Wow, what a game. Even though we lost, it was the first exciting Dallas game I have seen in awhile, maybe since opening week of 2012 in NY. I said earlier that we at least cover the spread if not win, they usually play to their opponents level, especially in games no one gives us a chance to win.
If someone told me we would score 48, I would have guaranteed the victory. The offense came to play, the defense is still on the field looking for their jocks. I know it was Peyton but there is no excuse to give up 51 points, none. Here are my concerns and opinions:
Offense
Do not change a thing and play the remaining games like it is against Denver. I was upset that they abandoned the run after that beautiful first drive but Denver's secondary is as bad as ours, attack their weakness. Overall, they did an outstanding job with only a few hiccups. I thought they should have kept running but it worked out until our last drive.
Romo
The man played his arse off. He came to play and made one mistake and it was a costly one. No one will speak of Manning's interception which got Dallas back in the game. If Peyton doesn't throw that bad pass that Mo caught, it might have been over at that point. Romo choked, he sucks, he needs to go, whatever......he was the main reason that kept us in the game, period. I will say that his turnover will not help his cause in the media and deservedly so, but it would be idiotic to overlook what he did in the game.
Williams
Welcome to the NFL, prepare for arrival. The kid just might have the "it" factor. He is not nor ever will be Irvin, Moss, Rice, etc, etc but he proved to me that he belongs. Growing pains will happen and there will be more mental errors, but keep feeding him the ball, it will pay dividends.

Get your itinerary and resume in order, you are no longer needed in Dallas. He is a good WR but very unreliable, no more soup for you! Put Beasley in the slot with Harris, will work out fine.
Defense
Kiffin, Ryan, Wade or whoever mans this defense is horrible(sarcastically). It is not the coaching or scheme, it is the players lack of talent. Some perform better than others but they suck overall. Our linebackers can not cover anyone and sometimes completely disappear from the middle. Lee occasionally looks brilliant then looks lost on the next play. Carter is just lost, speed is only so good if you know how to use it.
The secondary has it's problems as well but everything stems from one front, the defensive line. Those guys are depleted and beaten. Ware is a shell of himself at this point and I am not so sure injuries are the excuse anymore. He is over-running most of the plays and letting guys run right past him. If you know a sack is not in the future, play contain. Same goes for the other side. If they can not get to the QB in time, funnel the runner towards the middle. I love Ware but he is not right ATM and if someone better was in waiting, they should be in there. This defensive line is the root of all the problems IMO.
Coaches
Like I stated, I don't think it matters who the DC is, there is a lack of talent coupled with injuries. Kiffin better be prepared to defend himself because Garrett will turn focus to that side of the ball(it may or may not be deserved).
Garrett
I liked his early challenge even though it did not hold up. He looks mighty strong walking the sidelines as only the HC. IMO, he failed in two instances.....abandoning the run after that first drive and our final possession. I do not know if that falls on Callahan or not, but as the HC, he should have the final say. The last drive was a debacle. With just over 2 minutes, there is only one way to go about this. Take the ball down the field to try and win but do not let Peyton get the ball back if all else fails. After the sack on first down, he should have bled time off the clock and go into OT. Run the ball, run the ball and not go pass happy there. His situational awareness is sub-par at best.
In closing, I am not surprised we had a chance to win, it all set-up for an upset. Romo choked but it should not have even come to that. The loss falls on Garrett, Kiffin, Marinelli and a small percentage to Tony. I just hope the offense continues and not revert to its old form.
This game did not help me understand the potential, was out of the ordinary. Heck, SD got beat up by the Raiders, so confused. It is a sad day in Dallas when Romo has a career game and still loses and gets the blame when he was the best player on the field overall.
The 2014 Draft....go all defensive line, first three rounds.
