In Dez's situation it is up to the refs discretion. Usually they give a warning first which is what he got. But Harbaugh was doing it without a stoppage in play and we have no idea if he got a warning or not but still the situations were not equal.

It's a call left to the discretion of the ref. Our ref didn't call it. The refs in this game did. Where's the controversy?

The dumbest comparison was Dez to Santana Moss when Moss got kicked out of their game with the Giants. But, that's Skins fans for you.

My theory is that Harbaugh got a warning but, unlike Bryant, didn't back down. Also, my theory is that Harbaugh "threw caution to the wind" because at that point it was already first down and the penalty would only give New England 5 yards. Yeah, I know yardage becomes tougher down in the red zone but 5 yards in the red zone when it is already 1st down isn't as painful as if, suppose, the exact same thing happened on 3rd and 20 to set up 4th and 6. If it was 4th and 6 Harbaugh would have checked himself since a personal foul is much more damaging at that point.

Personally I cannot believe how big of a deal people are making about a play that gained 14 yards on 2nd and 6 from the 24 in a game with a 35-31 final.

Dude, your defense gave up 35 points, 408 passing yards, and your quarterback turned it over twice. You didn't lose the game because of one single 14 yard play on 2nd-and-6 with 8:00 to go in the 3rd quarter.
