Many people have turned bad franchises around. It hardly makes him a god and last I checked he has exactly as many playoff wins as the guy he took over for in Dallas.

Four? Look man you can hate the guy all you want, but to deny he's one of if not the best at turning franchises around is just blind hate.

We have no clue were this team would be today if he stayed. Could have been better, could have been worse. With out him ever coming here we would have been 5-11.:) Setting some kind of NFL record for being 5-11 I'm sure.

You look at those drafts and its incredible just how BAD they were. When you get right down to it - up to 2002 Only Dat, Ellis and The Hotel were quality players that lasted. 6 drafts=all those picks= and for all intents and purposes we got 3 really good players.

Would have been nice if Jerry would have relinquished the GM role for Ireland.

Hopefully he is able to adequately replace Ireland.

Time to move on. Jerry has only himself to blame. I hope he has someone in line that he trusts as much as he did Ireland.

Please explain how Jerry has himself to blame. He cannot stand between Ireland and a promotion. Them's the rules.

So how is this Jerry's fault?

Easy, he could have offered Ireland the GM position in Dallas.

Very true, how can anyone argue that !! JJ is not taking one for the team.

I'm wondering how many of you people are such insiders that you know how valuable an asset Ireland was if JJ let him go so easily and didn't think he could be replaced with someone comparable.

Exactly. I mean, despite being GM in Miami, we all know Parcells is making the final decision.

It would have been the same thing here, with Jerry making the final decision, but that prick can't even swallow his pride enough to give up the GM title because it would give off the illusion that he might not be in 100% total control.

This guy is going to be our Al Davis in a few years. He's handcuffing this franchise.

That's superpunk for ya. If Parcells farts, he'll be standing in the immediate vicinity of his rear-end inhaling deeply and telling everyone it doesn't stink.
This is true. And getting annoying. No one was criticizing Parcells in the thread. It's just ridiculous to have to put up with the non-sense that every smart decision made over the past 4 years was all Parcells' doing.

EVERYTHING is Jerry's fault, to some.

Oh well, Cisnewski will be next in line...

Great, another "yes man" that will do whatever Jerry says.

He's bleeding out all the good Bill Parcells brought to this team.

Isn't it ironic you only show up when there is something less than stellar going on?

i think if ireland was offered the GM job he would've still gone to miami. working for parcells is a chance of a lifetime. the guy is a proven talent evaluator.

Even Jones is smart enough to know if the pendulum suddenly swings the other direction it's on him. I hope he has learned and I think he did.
