My best friend's baby (10 weeks old today) is in ICU and clinging to life.

I have never heard of this disease, but this is what they believe the baby has.

Per that site I posted above it doesn't sound good at all, though there is some research they believe is headed int he right direction. Problem is they think they will make a breakthrough in 5 years and most victims of this don't make 2 years old.

I'm going to fast tomorrow and am meeting Rich (my friend) at the hospital to pray together. He said the Doctor is actually discouraged with them that they are hanging on to hope. The baby is on a ventilator in critical condition. They can't hold him.

I lost a son 11 years ago. You have to hang on to every shred of hope.

It's really one of the worst things in the world.

I'm numb over this. Been down this road myself and know how tough it is.

I've had 28bringinthewood in my prayers and I know God won't mind if I add in Zakary if I knew how to pray any harder I would do that too...

but amsterdamn that sucks just sucks...

also would like to add a friend of mine's baby (Xenia) is getting checked for this also she just one day stopped walking
