Has it been reported that Dallas has shown interest in these players? Or are these players Dallas should have interest in?

I'll throw one in.

Jeff Webb 6'2 200 --- 4.37 40
2005: 92 catches for 1109 yards with 10 TD's. - I would think 4th /5th round steal.

What, they could only find 65 players the Boys have talked to??

I'd seen that list before, on a website where all the teams were listed, but neglected to bookmark the page, now I can't find it again...

That's a really good list, though as others have noted, there have been a few updates since it was printed...

I'm not interested in Watson until day two.

Yes - Glover being cut makes NT a position of interest to me.

Who would you draft day 1?

And what is your plan of action on NT for this season. Thanks!

What about Broderick Bunkley? He has Ferguson's size and is strong as an ox. He is also very active - a bigger version of Glover. Mike Maock said some teams were comparing him to Casey Hampton.

Doesn't he have some injury issues? Specifically, a history of knee injuries?

Gabe Watson - 6'3
Montavious Stanley - 6'2 321
Titus Adams - 6'2 320
Brandon Mckinney - 6'2 325
Jeff Littlejohn - 6'1 323

I found another one.
Manaia Brown - 6'2 310 with room for more weight-
4.95 40 - one of the more quicker NT in draft
BIO-
War Room analysis
Strengths: Is a physical specimen and very athletic. Is strong and has room to add bulk. Shows great speed for size and terrific first-step explosiveness. Can play two-gap responsibility, playing both nose tackle and end in a 3-4. Also shows the quickness of a one-gap tackle. Can be very disruptive.

Weaknesses: Effort has been questioned; sometimes disappears during games. Durability is a concern. Had several shoulder injuries early in college career and 2005 neck injury further hindered his development. Needs to improve technique and stop relying solely on athleticism.

Bottom line: Though Brown's durability and effort will raise questions, teams will be blown away by the numbers he will put up at the Combine and in individual workouts. His athleticism and explosiveness are unquestioned, but he is a project and will need time to develop. Though there are many factors to consider, some team will take a chance on him late on the draft's first day.

Most of those aren't day 1 picks, but that's all I could find. :)

Johnny Jolly, Texas A&M (6' 3" 315 lbs.) A disruptive presence, Jolly has very solid size, speed and athleticism. A good run stopper, he plays with good leverage and can anchor at the point of attack or shed blockers and make plays in the backfield. Agile and possessing good speed off the snap, he can be explosive and get good push on the pocket. A solid tackler, Jolly wraps up tackles well. He gives a good effort in pursuit, changes direction well and can make plays in space. Jolly will play too high at times and needs to improve passrush technique and overall playing strength. Jolly is a physical, high motor guy with very good potential. He could fit at 3-4 DE. Looked good in East-West Shrine Game. Third/fourth rounder. Similar to: William Joseph

Just because a guy plays NT and we need one doesn't mean I'm obligated to pick a lazy underachiever in the first three rounds. I'd rather take Bunkley at #18.

If I get to do it my way, and I posted this in another thread, I do it like this:

Free Agency:
Ma'ake Kemoeatu (NT)
Ryan Longwood (K)

Draft:

Trade down to the end of round one/beginning of round 2 for a third. At least one of Carpenter/Lawson/Wimbley will be there.

1. Kamerion Wimbley (OLB)
2. Andrew Whitworth (OT)
3. Jason Allen (FS)
3. Todd Watkins (WR)

If I can't find a trade partner and am forced to pick at #18, I take one of:

Manny Lawson
Bobby Carpenter
Chad Jackson

There are several NT prospects that I like on down the line:

Babatunde Oshinowo
LeKevin Smith
Montavious Stanley
Steve Fifita

...to name a few.

You know, apologies to kartr on this one. After seeing the beefed up Bunkley at the combine, I think he could be a NT. He is still probably best as a one gap penetrator though.

I want nothing to do with this guy. Apparently, Chris Kuper from North Dakota was abusing him in Senior Bowl practices and Jolly pushed him down from behind on the sideline.

Johnny Jolly, Texas A&M's 6-4, 309-pound defensive tackle, encountered the mean streak in practice. Kuper had put Jolly on his back a couple of times, and Jolly wasn't happy about it. Kuper was walking to the sideline when he said Jolly shoved him from behind. Kuper went to the ground. He jumped to his feet. Then he went after Jolly.

"He thinks since he's from Texas A&M, that makes him better than me," Kuper said. "The fact he went to Texas A&M didn't matter to me when I was putting him on his back."

Teammates restrained Kuper before he got close to Jolly. "It was nothing," Kuper said. "Just a football fight."

Heard some interesting things about...
Kevin Boothe(G-Cornell)-guy played two postions in college. He feels he may be better at OT rather than guard. Some pro scouts have told him the same.
Daniel Manning(S-Abilene Christen)-ran a respectable 40 time at the combine and in a recent interview said he expects to improve on that in his pro day. He says running in the 4.3 range is what he expects.
Not suprised to see these guys on Dallas's list.
I think it shows how far Ireland has improved our scouting process.
No more
Dixon
Goodrich
Larrimore
Carter
Those guys were busts and I have a hard time believing we even consider those types of players now.
High draft picks too!

JD - Good call on Boothe, he's rising on my board and would be a great later draft pick for us.
