I went back and rewatched the Steeler game again last night.

4 things stood out...

1-With several injuries, substitutes played pretty well even Proctor
2-Play calling got conservative in the third quarter, put pressure on the def
3-Defense played very well
4-Penalties like delay of game hurt in key spots

I think this team is closer to being something good than the end of the season showed.

Just my humble opinion.

No doubt in the end...but up to that point they had them.

That game was such a mirror of the season. Just finish something...a game...a season.

which ironically was the goal and the "battle cry" of the whole offseason..."finish"...maybe they got confused and thought "finished"

if you watch the Ravens game again I was wondering if those delayed blitzes killed us so much because

#1 no Barber(choice couldn't reconize them)

#2 no one staying in to protect(Witten,Bennet,Anderson,Choice)

#3 our o-line just sucked that game

another game where those turnovers must have gone overlooked

well i just want to know about the delayed blitzes. I'm pretty sure those 2 picks to Reed were just bad passes and good plays by Reed. I was just shocked that it seemed like every time Romo dropped back they would send a delayed blitzer who came through untouched. also I refuse to watch that game again.

The 2008 Dallas Cowboys were a 9-7 underachieving football team, nothing more, nothing less.

Teams that avoid bad plays win close football games. All the talent in the world doesn't help if you can't avoid the negative plays. Last year, they happened at all levels on offense, especially.
