Urban Meyer in trouble again

Some franchises are cursed. This seems like one of them. They had a great run to start out with Coughlin then what 15 yrs go by and you bring him back ?

Then out of all the coaches in America you pick a guy who hasn’t spent a minute in the NFL or had any real relevancy as a coach in a few yrs. This guy who owns this outfit makes Jerrah look like Einstein .

Jags were in AFC Championship Game four seasons ago (and leading 20-10 at the beginning of the 4th qtr)....not 'cursed' on the level of say the Lions).
However- as potential HC candidates for the Cowboys when Jason Garrett was "not renewed" - the two leading candidates touted by by Cowboys Zone members overwhelmly were Meyer and Lincoln Riley --a college HC who was gifted the Sooner position with no prior top-job experience.
At least Urban Meyer's had a very successful-oustanding HC resume in college (Bowling Green\Utah\Florida\Ohio State).

and more than half the board wanted him here as coach. This is bad for Jacksonville it would have been an unmitigated CATASTROPHE here in Dallas

When looking for a coach to run an NFL locker room in 2021 my list would have to include coaches who have been in successful NFL programs . Strictly college coaches need not apply .

I know Jimmy came from a Oklahoma St and all that but that was 30 years ago . True Barry won a SB from the colleges but on the flip side Saban was a mighty 15-17 in Miami Dolphin land.

Bobby Petrino had nice success in College the pros hire him in Atlanta and he’s run out of town . One of his ex Falcons put it succinctly “ the NFL is a league for men “ ….message sent .

Just the assembly of that coaching staff in general....it was disastrous.

Think about how confused Trevor Lawrence must be when your two main offensive input guys are a West Coast offence guy and a Norv Turner style offensive guy.

Plus the defensive play-caller has never called....defensive plays.

Like I said, they have bigger issues. The players have to play the game. Urban Meyer didn't blow that 14 point lead on Thursday, the team did. In the video I watched that blonde was putting her *** on him while he was sitting on a bar stool so looked consensual. He probably should have went back with the team though.
