How many people actually knew these negotiations were taking place? Now I ask you this. What would happen if that was TO asking for more money before the end of his contract? We have already seen what would happen. This is a cut and dry case of racism in the media. Nice White boy argues contract, no media coverage. It's more of the Cowboy spotlight than anything else.

There's alot of players not happy about their contracts, most prefer to not use the media to get their way (renegotiation).

Urlacher isn't blasting his team or team mates, thus not making a need to cover. Owens bashed players and F/O thus drawing attention.

TO played one freakin year in Philly and then demanded more money. Is that the case with Urlacher?

TO does live with more scrutiny than most other players. He brought most of that on himself. It is somewhat of a double standard, but TO carries some of that blame.

But before you go playing the race card understand the difference between a player who attends voluntary workouts, and continues to act as a member of the team under contract, while trying to workout a new one, Versus a player who workouts in his driveway calling out his QB the F/O and any player that spoke out against him

Exactly. Owens gets the things he does because of the attention he drew to himself in San Fran and then Philly. If he'd kept his trap shut back then, like he does now, then he wouldn't be such a media target.

It has nothing to do with the color of his skin cause you realise, I hope, that quite a large portion of those in the media who bash on Owens are *GASP* black.

Playing the racism card on things like this is just plain stupid.
