Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s pet pit bull escaped his yard and bit a neighbor February 25, according to a woman who claims she lost part of her finger as a result. Prescott’s dog had been quarantined by the Frisco, Texas city government, a suburb of Dallas, and faced possible eviction or even being euthanized.

Court documents indicate Prescott had previously been warned his dogs were habitually escaping his yard. What seemed a simple and funny one-off originally was in fact part of a pattern.

“They say there’s a door near the Cowboys star’s garage that doesn’t close properly unless it’s locked … so they told Dak he needed to fix the issue to prevent his pit bulls from escaping. But, the QB seemingly didn’t take care of the problem … ’cause his dogs broke out of the door once again on Feb. 25, tearing into a neighbor’s yard and attacking.”

An assuredly saddened Prescott has reached a tentative agreement with the city of Frisco and the attacking dog will indeed leave town, cancelling a March 20 hearing. Prescott will need to find him a new home for his pooch as soon as possible.

As a dog lover..happy to see the dog gets another chance with re-homing. Sorry to see the other party injury. But apparently she stepped in when the dogs were scuffling and that was not smart. There are ways to deal with these encounters and as an bystander you do not get that close to get bit. Distract them..kick them..slap their butts..but never get in front of the teeth. She made a mistake in the heat of the moment. All owners should pay attention here.
