The Dallas Cowboys are alive in well in free agency and are starting to make moves. After bringing in two potential players for in-person visits, the connection was made with a third player.

After signing Christian Covington on Friday for the defensive interior, Dallas stayed on the defensive line, inking defensive end Kerry Hyder who was with the Detroit Lions for three seasons.

Hyder is a local Texas product from Austin, and played at Texas Tech. He came into the league in 2015 at 6-foot-2 weighing 270 lbs and signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent. He had eight sacks in 2016, and missed all of 2017 after tearing Achilles.

In 2018 he recorded one sack in seven games.
