The dream is over for Dallas Cowboys fans as free agent safety Earl Thomas has decided to sign with the Baltimore Ravens. Dallas had hoped to lure the former Seattle product back to his home state of Texas, but in the end Thomas will now call the AFC North his home after spending his entire career with the Seahawks.

Thomas agreed to a four-year, $55 million deal with $32 million being fully guaranteed.

The Dallas Cowboys have been rumored around the possibility of either trading or signing for the safety ever since he approached Cowboys coach Jason Garrett following the Seahawks, 20-12 win over Dallas on December 24, 2017.

The Cowboys will now go back to the drawing board to try and augment their current group of safeties.
