The Dallas Cowboys got the ball back with 22 seconds and a time out left after forcing a three and out on the back of Robert Quinn who sacked Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.

The very next play he almost had a sack fumble but Wentz was able to get the ball away in order to avoid utter disaster.

Three straight passes to Jason Witten later, kicker Brett Maher was lining up for a 63 yard field goal, his personal best. Here’s how that attempt went.

That’s a team record for Maher.

With that 63-yard field goal, Brett Maher is the first player in NFL history with three field goals made from 60-plus yards.

He may not be the most accurate kicker in the world, but he certainly has an uncanny ability to make field goals nearly no one has any business making. The Dallas Cowboys lead 27-7 heading into half. They receive the ball.
