UTEP's Aaron Jones invited to Combine

UTEP RB Aaron Jones was invited to the combine. Hoping he puts up decent numbers.

Jones could be a late-round pick (and IMO a steal). He runs a lot bigger than his size (5'10, 205lbs). He's got decent speed, a good stiffarm, and good hands as a pass catcher. He's got good vision and good burst (patient runner when needed). IMO, he's a better Lance Dunbar.

The game vs TxTech a couple yrs ago really showed off a lot of his skills:

Above all, Jones is a good guy. Comes from a military family, has his head on right. He could probably stand to put on 10-15lbs.

Love the heads up play on the bad snap; shows situational intelligence. Wicked stiff arm and always seems to fall forward. I wouldn't be disappointed at all if we took a flyer on him later in the draft.

He made the Texas D look like a D3 defense in that first half.

He abused the roadrunners D with extreme prejudice.

He runs with speed, power, and purpose. I would not be upset if we threw a late pick his way.
