The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with free agent defensive lineman end Kyle Vanden Bosch, the player said Friday on Nashville radio station 104-5 FM.

Vanden Bosch said he will sign a four-year contract. He'll be reunited with Lions coach Jim Schwartz, his former defensive coordinator with the Tennessee Titans.

Not particularly surprising . . . .

Read on the turd that Swartz was at his house at midnight.

Kind of creepy as a phone call would likely do the job.

Good for the Lions. They got a little bit of WR help and some DL help today with getting Bosch and also trading for Williams with the Browns. They're trying to make the necassary steps to go in the right direction.

They're quietly making the right steps, too. They have a long way to go, though.

The Titans are going to be a bad team for a few years. Vanden Bosch did not have a great season as a pass rusher, but he is still one of the Titans better pass rushers. Their strength has been defense and that D is not performing well. I don't see that improving too much. Add in that their offense is average at best and they may struggle for a while. Unless Vince Young really becomes a complete QB, they won't be a playoff team.
