I spoke to couple of sources tonight who offered some interesting news on the Cowboys and the Brett Favre situation.

– One source told me he’s convinced Adam Jones will win one of the CB spots in Dallas. That’s hardly shocking news. What did surprise me was his assessment of incumbent Anthony Henry, who he claimed looked “so bad” at the team’s OTA workouts. He thinks Henry may be still be ailing and that “he looked slow… no burst or quickness.”

That’s something to watch when camp opens next week.

Adam Jones has been out of football for a year and there's no guarantee he'll be fully reinstated.

I think he is the real deal, but I doubt he'll get as much playing time this year as many people would like... especially if Jones does get full reinstatement as I think will happen.

I'm not worried at all. He lost his job, his money, his home, and most of his possessions. That's some serious motivation for a kid who's had very little growing up, gained the world, and then went back to having nothing. He's going to be fine if the commish will give him the chance.

This does not shock me...board members know I am not a big Henry fan anyway....I am convinced this will be his last year with the team....they are high on Ball...they are high on Oglesby...they are high on Scandrick...Jenkins is a first round pick, so he is not going anywhere and Adam Jones has the potential to lock down his side for the next 5- 7 years.

I don't buy this in the least, to be quite honest. Now I think it's possible that Adam will win the job out, eventually (Maybe as early as the first month of the season) but unless Henry is actually injured and can't play he'll be the opening day starter.

Henry knows whats up. you draft a cb in first, trade for a good cb and lock up your best cb for a long time. he is the odd man out in this situation
