Just heard him on Mike and Mad Dog Show in which Mad Dog tried to goad him into admitting it was a bogus holding call against Derrick Johnson on Witten before the pass was thrown. Vermeil said that technically it was a penalty, and that he had no problem with the call, and even didn't bother sending it in to the league office. If only Gibbs was this way after a loss.

Vermeil had no other choice other than to say what he did.

It was an obvious call.

The refs would have been completely negligent in their duty to let that play go by without a call.

It was absolutley a correct call.

That said, I've always liked Vermeil.

MadDog on the other hand I'm not so wild about.

I liked Vermeil but I really get tired of watching the guy cry at the drop of a hat.

LOL... I think he is a heck of a coach and saw 1st hand the job he did in Philly, St. Louis and now KC but for goodness sake he needs to get it together and stop the crying.

Definitely the correct call, at least Vermeil had the class to admit it, whereas Gibbs is a conspiracy theorist.

Maybe he has overactive tear glands. You have to admire the emotion he has invested in the game and in people though.

I did back in the 80's when he was with Philly the 1st time I saw him break down and cry but after watching him all these years he just has a hard time keeping his emotions in check which is why he retired in Philly it was really starting to take a toll on him.

I could not stand Vermeil when he coached the Eagles. I viewed him as an ego maniac for some reason......I have recently changed my mind.

Yah-if the refs didn't make that bad call on Flo in the first game, and if the refs didn't call so many ticky-tack pass interference calls on Seattle the week after, the Skins would have been in a 1-4 hole to start!

It's just like with us-Sure, we got screwed in the Seattle/Skins games. However-we benefited alot from the Chiefs/Chargers games.

Either way-everything evens out.

He wasn't so classy when he was the Eagles coach and had that loud mouth Jaws at QB. I couldn't stand either one of them.
