I got a feeling he ends up on an NFL roster within 3-4 years. Probably be a star up there.

Ya'll see the Oregon vs. Michigan State game last year? Terribly inaccurate passer. The next Russell Wilson he is not!

Remember how Warren Moon was stuck in the CFL for six years? Didn't hit the NFL until 28. What on earth could scouts have been thinking?

Here's a link to his stats from when he played at the University of Washington:

Those aren't great. Yes, he was the Pac 8 player of the year in 1977, and put on a real show against Michigan in the Rose Bowl that year, but you combine the lack of great production with existing biases against African-Americans playing QB, it's not all that surprising in retrospect.

I'm surprised he didn't get an opportunity in the NFL. Or maybe he did and turned it down wanting to remain a QB.

The NFL just doesn't like small Qb's. There are exceptions, but they frequently seem to be right about that. It's not about the throwing so much as it seems to be about a lessened ability to take a hit consistently. Honestly, we've seen that a bit with Romo. I think the Skins saw that with RG3. Size isn't a way to avoid all injuries but it does seem to help.

Maybe Adams goes up to Canada and learns some and shows some skills and comes back down like Moon or Flutie. Maybe he carves out a career for himself up there. Maybe he never learns how to improve his game enough to stick up there. Who knows.

Racist is as racist does. It's interesting nowadays because white DBs and DE get similar treatment.

You mean the guy no one believed would succeed and was ridiculed from day 1?

By the fans. He got plenty of opportunities from the coaching staff.

Unless by your original comment you were talking specifically about fans.
