Well, the thing is that we think it's just his pinky.

The OP (and others) believe that Romo also hurt his thumb, which they believe happened in the 2nd Quarter.

Has nothing to do with the time, it has to do with WHAT was injured.

If the thumb is injured, then people say he'll be out longer.

I just watched the slo-mo replay. His thumb didn't hit the ground when he fell. Nor did it appear to be whacked by the defender.

It does appear that Tony hurt his hand or really noticed the pain when he pushed himself off the ground. He is clearly shaking it in pain. It doesn't really matter when he hurt it, except that he played the rest of the game injured and knows he can do it again.

Just rewatched the whole game and yes his thumb is hurt. They clearly show him on the sidelines 3-4x's during the game shaking and playing with it looking at it trying to shake it off.
