At 46 seconds, no part of Balls shoulder, much less helmet even touches the receivers helmet. BS call.

I know they didnt score on that drive, but they would have been punting out of their own endzone.

I can see why they called helmet-to-helmet on the field. But if they fined him after review for helmet-to-helmet, that is a crock.

That is really a BS call. Incidental contact (i.e. if a part of his helmet did happen to make contact), in the middle of intentional contact isn't a personal foul. He obviously lead with his shoulder/forearm and I have to wonder if that fruitcake QB lobbying for a flag didn't sway the dopey ref.

He was just watching it in real time and it probably looked that way at the moment.

if you double tap play/pause at 45 sec you get a frame by frame of the hit its clear he lead with his shoulder and wades facemask hits the back of balls helmet, close call and i can see it going either way but the fact that he got fined is ****ing bull**** it is clear to me that they did not even look at the tape and just issued the fine based on the call on the field

It was close enough to flag.
But the fine that came down down days later was unnecessary. They did that just so they would look consistent with the call and not appear like they got it wrong.

It seems like the NFL is fining everyone this year. It's like they have a new policy. Fine everyone then sort it out after appeal. Guilty until proven innocent. Any close personal fouls against a Quarterback, tripping, horse collering or helmet to helmet gets an automatic fine. I don't think they even review the play all that much.
