Trent must hate his job. I fear for the man.

It's very sad. You know the crack ESPN character assassination team of Clayton, Mosley and Werder have been mobilized to deal with Dilfer.

Stay the course. Even keel. My enthusiasm is tempered. I don't want to anger the football gods.

But, I can't help feeling a little giddy inside.

God how I've missed being in on the action. Been a long time coming.

I understand what you're saying but I think you're wrong. You, me and everybody here get bombarded with bias opinions everyday thrown at us by the media. When a guy comes in with an objective and thoughtful analysis backed by experience and knowledge, we assume he's a fan because its such a revelation...

When in reality...he's just doing his job.

In this video, ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer says Minnesota offensive tackles Bryant McKinnie and Phil Loadholt face a “total mismatch” against Dallas pass rusher DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer. As a result, the Cowboys will win Sunday at the Metrodome, Dilfer adds, and continue on to the Super Bowl after that.

It's comments like this that give me no doubt Dilfer made wise choices with his NFL earnings.

Apparently this video has upset a few Vikings fans!

Update in the NFCE blog earlier today:

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/9948/dilfer-has-cowboys-in-the-super-bowl

I don't always turn to the ESPN Countdown Key Matchup for controversy, but former quarterback Trent Dilfer has enraged Vikings fans across the nation with his prediction that the Cowboys will smash Minnesota on Sunday. He said the Cowboys' outside linebackers were a "total mismatch" for the Vikings' offensive tackles. And you should've heard the stuff Trent said off the air!

I kind of agree with Trent. If these tackles are as bad as everyone is saying, Ware and Spencer are going to have a field day. And I don't care who the quarterback is, it's hard to get your passing game going if you are facing a relentless pass rush. I don't watch the Vikings quite enough to know if their tackles are as bad as they say, but if they are, the Vikings are in for a world of hurt.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
"Son to Father: "Daddy? Did Brett Farve win a Super Bowl when you were a boy?"

Father to Son: "Yes son, but that was when he was my age and his current teammates were in diapers.""

Wow, usually Dilfer is knocking the Cowboys.
No, he isn't. He's been high most of the season, especially Romo. He's been big on Romo since he became the starter.

I haven't heard too much negative this season, but I know in years past he was. Not that it really matters, haha!
