Has a messed up leg or something so he is sitting down with his leg up.

Have to say I was kind of shocked he went with the Johnson voice instead of his own but it sounded pretty good.

Don't necessarily listen to AC/DC or GnR. But I am curious if this is a permanent gig for Axl or just doing a solid for them.

it's not AC/DC. its just....wrong to me. i get how people may dig it, great for them. just seems worse than sammy taking over for david lee.

I thought the same thing about GNR without Izzy Stradlin. It's just wrong. In my defense, Izzy was a co-founder of GNR which can't be said for Brian Johnson for AC/DC.

The Back in Black album pretty much threw that train of thought out the window for Brain Johnson. That said, you would think Bon may have had writing credits on the Album especially since AC/DC was never able to repeat even remotely close to that level of success. Though the band says that all the songs were written with Brian Johnson after Bon's passing and all of Bon's notebooks where given back to Bon's family.

Now, considering Back in Black was recorded 5 months after Bon's death. I find that fact a bit suspect. It's possibly, but suspect. My guess is AC/DC was trying to protect their income from any claim by Bon's family.

I think with the actions of AC/DC of old and recent. They aren't exactly a moralistic group of people.

GNR got back together. I think its him doing them a solid

Axl is just finishing out the tour for them as a solid. He was very respectful about about not taking over for Brian just that he wanted to help. The tour and tickets were sold AC/DC and Angus wanted to play. He isnt taking over and just wanted to help out his childhood inspiration band.

It was either this or Udo Dirkschneider or Marc Storace from Krokus or the singer from the tribute Band Bonfire to finish the tour. They offered refunds to all ticket holders, 7000 turned them in and they resold same day. The market wanted it over nothing

And he did beyond a solid job

Notice Axl plays in the original tuning hitting all notes

Brian is 1/2 step down tuning and not quite there.

No real bag on Brian, everyone does it at some point, but I have to give to Axl here. He made those songs his *****

If Udo had joined they could have had a contest, who is shorter Udo or Angus? LOL, anyways back to Axl, good for him. Axl still has a very powerful voice.

Axl to my knowledge has the best range of any pop type singer except Steve Perry. Axl is 5 or 6 octaves I believe

How many concert dates is he going to do double duty? He knows his own limits better than I do, but wow that sounds like a tough schedule night in night out.

Axl jumping in is a win. If it were a full time gig I would probably like it less, but it is a pretty cool that he helped out AC/DC like that.

i get all that. i appreciate all that. still just wrong to me. but people seem to have enjoyed it and i do believe it would be better than having to refund all the tickets. i guess it's only really "wrong" to me if this were full time, but the favor is pretty cool.

Consider that AC/DC has been around forever, and considering the styles of AC/DC and GNR, a very large portion of AC/DC's fanbase are probably GNR fans as well. I bet for alot of the older fans that have seen AC/DC many many times, they probably enjoy a different twist. Especially if they have rocked out to Appetite on more then one occasion
