Well Jerry just gave the media the ammo it wanted. Now the bullets will be flying at our team. A team two years ago that was being constructed like a model franchise.
Meh. There was Tank Johnson and a couple of d-linemen before now. We've had controversial or malcontent players on our roster since the '60's.

I've never posted it, and had never seen it. I might have read reports of it, but I never heard the actual conversation.

You just opened up a can of the pacman rallying butt whipers.

Shouldn't you be off in a corner, cooing about Malcolm Kelly?

Make no mistake, one is not necessarily synonimous with the other.

I live in TN and PacMan has led many newscasts. He is widely hated and reviled around here. I hope it ends better in Dallas.

Me, I hope it ends quicker. I am definatly not for this signing but it's done now.

old news--people can change--and if Jones does not, he's gone and it cost us very little--worth the risk

Like Duane Thomas noted:

"Dallas has never won a Superbowl without controversy."

There ya go. We just added ours. :p

Someone as stupid as Pac Man was going to get in trouble eventually, but it really did him no favors to be drafted by a team right next to his stomping grounds in Atlanta. That's like a fat guy trying to go on a diet with a pantry full of junkfood in his kitchen. Eventually temptation is going to win out.

Hopefully he'll buy a house here in Dallas and make this his home 365 days a year. If not, he doesn't have a chance.

Living in Dallas full-time is no guarantee. No matter where you are, if you're into certain things, you can find it anywhere. Remember, Keith Davis got shot on his way to church...

Pacman just has to live with a changed mindset and not because he's trying to play ball, but because it's the right thing to do.

"Remember, Keith Davis got shot on his way to church..." I thought it was determined he lied about being on his way to church when he was shot?

You're right that if he wants to find trouble he will, no matter where he is. But when you're still around your old neighborhood, the trouble can come to find you. I don't believe the Sean Taylor incident happens if he moves to some DC suburb and became an anonymous rich guy shacked up in a really nice house. Those kids were wanting street cred by jacking the local legend.

Maybe Michael and Deion take him to TD Jakes ... or maybe Roy and Gurode can get him to join the IBOC or something. Because barring some major life change, like being born again, starting a family and being a full time husband and dad, joining a hippie commune, or federal witness protection program, something ... I don't see him staying out of trouble for any extended period of time. Based on the flier posted a few weeks ago, he's still doing nightclub promotions and things of that sort. That's just begging for trouble.
