I watched the replay of Glenn and the end zone fumble.

Glenn never really has a clean reception. Although he does get two feet down, he does not retain the ball all the way through the catch.

He only has one hand on the ball as it hits the ground, and the ball moves after it hits the ground.

This should have been called an incomplete pass.

Here is the link.

This should have never been a catch.

2nd angle clearly shows an incomplete pass

but what can you do...

I've been thru the Mavericks getting in the Finals by the refs this past season, and now the Cowboys

what have I done to deserve this!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2nd angle does it for me. I hope that video get jammed deep down the throat of the nfl referee that ruled it a catch/fumble.

haha how is that not a catch? he catches it, holds the ball slips, he doesnt want to drop the ball as he slips. he stops himself with the ball on the turf, but he still has controll. he then gets up and makes a move going forward(this is where its a completion). the defensive player hits the ball as glenn is making his progress forward. FUMBLE

His left hand comes off the ball and his right hand doesnt cradle the ball as it touches the turf.

It doesnt matter.

If it doesnt get punched out and he jukes the guy taking it 98 to the house.. but then it gets called back for being incomplete.. we'd just be arguing that it WAS a catch. ;)

It was a fumble, no question about it. I mean, it's not even a debate. If you want to blame the refs for something, blame them for the call on Newman that put them in that position but that was a fumble, plain and simple. The Cowboys lost, get over it and get ready for next year.

No one is blaming the game on that play... well I'm not anyway.

The point is they looked at the replay and blew the call.

Sorry if we want a game called right.

Not picking on you, but that's wrong. If the ball was on the turf, it could not have become a completion after that. The only way it's a catch is if he had control before the ball hit the ground.

It was called right, so stop crying. Nothing worse than fans of a losing team crying about things that don't exist. The Cowboys lost. For once I would love to see a fan base not blame everyone under the sun for their team losing. Dallas would have just gotten blasted this week anyway because they are an average football team, as their impressive 9-8 record suggests. Who should we blame for that? I'm sure we'll find someone.

Anytime the ball hits the ground, its usually an incomplete pass.

Really? They invented this thing called a fumble a few years back. You should look into it. It happens from time to time.

When did I say that?

Please tell me.
