Bill Bates was one of my favorites. Man he could play. Do you have any of his (many) special teams hits?

Thanks so much for that clip. It brings back memories. Im 34, and all of the sudden I feel old now. Madden/Summerall Those two dont have many years left. What is football going to be like without Madden on TV? I still think Summerall was my fav TV voice when it comes to football games. Damn, where have the years gone??? The NFC was on CBS, and the AFC was on NBC. Id watch the Cowboys with one grandfather, and then the Oilers with the other. They are both gone now, and the Oilers as well.
I remeber someone saying... That when the losses hurt more than the wins make you feel good its time to get out... When the Boys loose it ruins my week, and when they win the high from it is soo fleeting. I dont know maybe im rambling....

I am right there with ya, although my father hates sports! So I usually watched football by myself or with friends, I was so intense my friends hated watching games with me by the time I was about 15 or 16.

I am 30 so this was the first big game I really got to see them play and It was just the perfect setting and a terrific game.

The following week was the toughest loss. That one really hurt.

Same here, im 31 and some of these plays still stay in my head. I can remember seeing Ray Crockett of Detroit stopping at the goal line after that interception. It is great that we are winning again, the drought has felt so long.

In case some of you forgot, did you see what the DL did on that play?

That's called a "Pass rush".

P-A-S-S

Pass Rush.

Hitting the QB RIGHT when he's throwing it, not grazing the back of his jersey 2 seconds after it's left his hand.

One of those games that we more or less controlled for 58 minutes but could have lost anyway. I remember Emmitt and Alvin having a particularly good day.
