I'm late to this thread but that's never stopped me before so here goes. I don't think either RWs or Watkins plays were PI, I read constantly on this board how fans want a agressive cover scheme for this defense. Well guess what this is what playing agressive means you have to play the receiver close and make a play for the ball, in those instances it is by rule incidental contact and not PI, if the defender is obviously only trying to keep the receiver from making the catch when contact occurs then it is PI.

The other thing I want to say about this play is that Brady James's jam on the TE was a key to this play and I hadn't noticed it before. Nice play Mr James nice play.......

I thought that at first too, but then I watched Roy pull on his right arm and I think he would have had a chance at it if Roy hadn't commited the PI.

They simply bumped bodies as they both made a play on the ball. No penalty needed.

He didn't pull on the arm, and I don't think this should have been ruled PI, but it was awfully close. You can tell from Roy's reaction when he gets up that he expected to see some laundry.

Pretty good coverage by Roy, though. I better pass from Kitna would have made it a non-issue, though, because there was a play there to be made.

I think it was PI, he grabbed his arm. Although Roy didn’t have to do that, he had good coverage on the play.
