Did anyone watch until the end with Schefter (sp)?

He mentioned the possibility of a QB hitting the board on purpose in order to redo a down. No way in hell can I see that as a legal move.

From the get-go, 45 out of 45 posts were about the Roy Williams/Orlando Scandrick collision.

Post 46 was about the videoboard.

Just what kind of insanity was behind the first 45 posts

We'll Roy Williams goes 220, and Scandrick still knocked him down with his shoulder. Scandrick is lighter.

It was supposed to be a NO CONTACT PRACTICE, NO PADS!

He may not have "intended' to hurt him, but he hit him too hard for that particular practice for sure.

Not smart.

I think it wasn't a smart play on Scandrick's part. There is a line, and Scandrick crossed it. imo. He may not have intended to hurt him, but what does he think is going to happen when he pops him like that with his shoulder.

Go ahead pop him like that in a non-contact practice.

Just make sure the CB can fill in at WR while he's out 6-8 weeks.

The Cowboys are lucky.

Did you actually watch the video? Anyone with eyes can see that Scandrick didn't "pop" Williams. He went for the ball and Williams ran into him. There is a difference. One is making a play on the receiver (which he didn't do) and the other is making a play on the ball (which he did do). This is what we've been crying for our cb's to do around here for years and because a 220 lb "physical" receiver gets nicked up and gets his feelings hurt you're gonna cry with him? Unbelievable!

It was an angle that I had not seen anyone mention yet. Also didn't realize that it would be off topic to discuss what was in the OPs video, my bad. Lastly, I didn't think Scandrick looked pissed. Just thought he look defensive.

Thanks for keeping tabs though.

That was my thought as well. But maybe it would be called "Intentional Boarding"

Nope. I should be the one to apologize because you're 100% correct. It was stated in the video and the video was part of the thread.

Terrell Owens stubbed his toe and will miss preseason game(s) because of it? Man, that's rough. Anyone else catch that?

~ crickets ~

Darn. :(

Hopefully, Scandrick has a short memory. He's not at fault for going for the ball in practice, pads or no pads.

Sure, not a problem.

Maybe passes thrown out of bounds should be called "Intentional Sidelining"..?

"intentional boarding" was a joke. As it wouldn't be grounding, it could be called boarding.

I agree in scandrick not being to blame. He's just doing his job.
